BMW 4-Series Concept Coupe unveiled in Detroit
Lovely. If only they would go so far as to not change one thing from this concept to the road going car.

2013 Acura NSX Concept
Looks great all baring the rear 3/4. Something a bit fussy about the exhaust tips, here's hoping this concept makes it onto our roads.

Audi A2 canceled - report
I would not argue the point that they may be looking over their shoulder a bit. Could this be a case that the VW group bit off more than it can successfully chew. Although looking from the outside in; as a whole and individual basis their profit margin would suggest otherwise. It's hard to fathom.

Audi A2 canceled - report
I understand your point and you may be right. Although what I was getting at was one of maybe two things that perhaps is at play here. Audi either realise that demand will not outstrip supply for an A2 EV. That is assuming that supply has to be high (relative to the time frame which the A2 EV is available in the market) to recoup the huge investment and the R&D it probably takes to implement an EV and/or because they are using an old model in the A2 ("current form"), which dates back to 1999, as their forerunner in EV's is actually a bad move. I feel they need to come up with a brand new line/model to champion their stake in the EV market. This is in direct comparison to BMW who have come out with the "i" brand name.

Audi A2 canceled - report
This begs the question; does Audi recognise the market better or worse than BMW. This is given the fact the BMW are going full steam ahead with the i3. Or does this mean than in the A2's "current form" it is no longer a runner. As such this would not necessarily mean that their EV's or plug in hybrid's have been canned altogether.

OFFICIAL: BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept revealed - 46 high-res photos & video
It looks good, very good in fact. Your absolutely right, there should be nothing on this that could possibly be considered "concept". It's not exactly an i8 type of concept so BMW could be on an out & out winner with the F32, ensuring that this becomes the actual production model. Obviously, this is just me dearly hoping that this becomes the final production model however like most BMW concepts. They eventually error of the side of blandness in non M Sport trim.

BMW M1 successor to be called the M8 - report
The likelihood of there being an "M8" in this time fame if at all is very, very slim. However, what we are likely to see by 2016 is a new Z8 which would be a "true" M Car, in that the guys at the M division would develop it from the ground up. I think that every time this rumour surfaces; people & some car enthusiast's are forgetting that in BMW's eyes making an M1 successor would be very difficult to make a profit from and has no scalability across platforms.

Audi promises greater model differentiation
So the top brass at at VW/Audi acknowledge all Audi's look alike, they certainly took their time to realise this. Now cue the sarcasm; What ever could he be talking about. Sure no two Audi's look alike, they all come with Quattro and don't they have the best interior design which should always over look any external design features.

Got to respect the "Godfather", genius nor originality is an easy commodity to get hold of in this day an age. Not least because we find ourselves on a public car website/forum but because what you say is so eeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssyyyyy. Bottom line is, like many people here, sign me up and get this car on the road ready to buy.

BMW Concept Active Tourer officially unveiled [video]
I can't say I agree or like the board's decision to make such a product nor can I see the market for it but I am sure someone can convince me otherwise. HOWEVER, if this means that revenue generated from this model goes toward making a 1 M Coupe CSL or new M3 CSL I'm all for it. AAAAAND, the actual chances of that happening; slim to none which is why this makes me sad.

BMW 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder engine unveiled
Great to see a car manufacture produce and make available to general public an engine that is fitting of the 21st generation i.e. 1500cc & 221hp/240nm. Yep, sounds good to me however reliability will take time I guess! The only disappointing thing regarding this is BMW already have a production engine that can produce 190hp/112nm from ~999cc. So like always car manufactures will always hold back and essentially dip feed this tech to us. PS: Formula 1 and 1600cc Turbo will show the way in 2014/15 i.e. Jaguar 1600cc 500hp a la C-X75 is the real world example. People fret at the thought of losing the noise of a NA V8; wait till you feel the thrust & agility of a 1400cc@350hp in a 700kg frame. People must realise this tech is available among car manufactures today however they choose to release it tomorrow. MONEY!!!

BMW considering an X7 crossover, re-imagined CS - report
I feel BMW missed their opportunity with the original CS. The 6 Gran Coupe is essentially what came of the Concept CS. A nice car by all means but it doesn't exactly evoke much emotion with regards to the design BMW could have taken back in 2007. Time has allowed rivals to 'catch-up'. This is especially true since BMW's competitor in Mercedes-Benz appears to be further along with their new design language in the Concept Style Coupe revealed recently.

2012 BMW 1-Series gains new engines & M Sport package
All these negative comments are all too reminiscent of when the E87 was first released in 2004. I agree to a certain extent that BMW had the chance to wipe the slate clean and to start fresh with a new design but they chose not to, which is somewhat of a disappointment. It will be intriguing to see how they incorporate their new 'design language' into the F22 Coupe. The E82 Coupe was not initially well received however it later became an important 'sport' car in the BMW line up. Only time will tell.
