Fiat's compact sedan named Tipo in Europe
The original Tipo was quite an advanced car for its time and was an upgrade car for Uno owners. Can't see the heritage link in the new car but heck! ;)

Maserati to stop production for a week in November due to slow demand
Italians are now known for two things: Fiat cute city runabouts and Ferrari/Lambo supercars. Anything in between them are passé. I must opined though Maser in its current form is the best yet under Sergio's directives.

Toyota S-FR entry-level sportscar concept set for Tokyo Motor Show debut
Strange that WCF should think the S-FR is only an exercise in styling.

Honda FCV revealed ahead of Tokyo
What an adventurous design. Love that cool rear aero fender! On hindsight, though, since it's an electric car, why didn't Honda seize the chance to give new FCV a sporty cab-back stance by minimizing front overhang?

Porsche buys part of Suzuki's stake in Volkswagen
Fallout coming from Dieselgate must be giving Suzuki-san the last laugh and justification given the bad blood between the two companies following a botched equity deal.

Report indicates VW sent engineers to US to “fix” cars that failed to pass emissions tests
It's time to stop pitting your argument with gas-guzzling American trucks versus efficient German compact sedans. Dieselgate is about VW's intentional decision to cream millions off federal government's subsidies in order to shift millions of smogging TDIs to unsuspecting consumers.

VW's CEO of passenger cars says “we are working at full speed on a solution”; 5M cars affected
5m smogging freaking diesels on our roads?! This is an absolutely hideous crime against environmental and humanity, Wolfsburg!! "Clean Diesel TDI". Yeah, tell me 'bout it.

BMW caught cheating with nitric oxide levels, shares down by 8%
Future of diesels in passenger cars are looking increasingly grim now, if it means cheating to meet emissions standards while keeping the lid on engineering costs.

Possible Hyundai i20 Turbo spied for the first time
Can't wait to see if this's true. 150hp in a supermini body means the hot i20 should be an epic performer. It's the sort of halo small cars Asian automakers hadn't done for ages.

Thai sports car teased
Cheap and cheery cars are now domain of the Chinese. Traditionally, anyone with a few quids could make supercars because these vehicles sell in limited volume but carry stellar price tags. Do the math. :)

Next-gen in-house made Mitsubishi Lancer rendered
I'd be interested to know the dimensions. I believed design was intended to be as close as to a production example (and were to comply with regulatory safety rules) albeit an hypothetical one. This surely wasn't a concept exercise. Side rear: Jaguar F-type. Front side: a KIA. lol

New Lexus LX facelift images leaked
The interior shot looks too real with its design originality to be shopped and so are the exterior shots which carry the car in far greater details than automotive digital manipulators would bother or have the prescient styling flair that an insider would have.
