F1 to have new engine rules in 2016 - report
Back in the day, big teams used qualifying engines. If you allow them, some teams will run a new unit every race. Such spending race can drive the customer teams out of the sport. Not to mention, the 4-engine rule was also introduced to improve reliability and make F1 relevant to road car technology...

It's a bloodbath at Ferrari. It's gonna take them a couple of years to rebuild. I think it's obviously someone's ego behind it all (especially Marco Mattiacci's depature and the aftermath), and I hope they got it right.

I'm a big fan of JB and I think Alonso is the best driver of his time, but I think they both have their best years behind them now. In a year or two when the car will actually be competitive, I'm not sure if they'd still have it. I would've signed Hulkenberg and Grojean.

At one point in the lead up to the 2014 season, Mercedes employed Ross Brawn, Bob Bell, Geoff Willis, Aldo Costa and Paddy Lowe. Five championship-winning technical directors from five different teams. I'm not surprised that huge payroll paid off

F1 world now expecting Friday announcement from McLaren
I would very much like to see JB in a winning car again, but have to say it's looking unlikely. McLaren seems to be chasing sponsorships, rather than choosing a driver and making it work like a big team should. Ron has lost it.
