2016 Opel / Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer first images and details are in
... hmmm... let me think... aaaa... nope... I still prefer the Megane... and please, don't come with that legend that the french manufacturers build unreliable cars... I have friends who own Renault cars and they are really satisfied with their vehicles, because they are reasonably priced, quite cheap to service and reliable... and BTW I will not buy a car because it has a beautiful C Pillar... sorry... and I repeat that I was, I am and I will be an Opel fan, but not a fan of this new Astra... at least for now...

as an old Opel fan and ex Opel Astra GTC owner, I like this new generation, but... that's all ... at least to me... it doesn't have that... I don't know... that something that will make you to say: yes, I want it (I can actually say that I prefer the previous generation, especially the GTC)... And if I compare the new Astra to the new Megane, hmmm, I think I'll put my money on the Megane...

Next-gen Opel Meriva spied with crossover-inspired styling
probably, just below it, regarding the price, options, etc, otherwise it will leak buyers to Mokka (which adds to the fact that the current Meriva wasn't a huge "box office" success)... And anyway, I personally prefer the Mokka model... BTW: it's just me or they've given up on those rear suicide doors and returned to the classic arrangement?...

BMW Motorrad unveils two custom bikes based on the K 1600 GTL
... I like them both... too bad they're just "projects"... anyway, the first one kinda reminds me of the Harley's V Rod... and for me, the V Rod is an absolute beauty...

Bentley designer calls out Lincoln over the Continental concept's styling
I don't know why, but I simply think that this article is nothing more than an April fools article... hopefully... I don't see top world designers engaging in this kind of "discussions"...

Hyundai i20 Active previewed in official design sketches
...just a question... why these Kia and Hyundai guys are able to create cars that are more and more attractive with each passing generation (compared to the same brands 10 - 20 years ago), cars that are more reliable, qualitative, etc, etc... and the guys from VW Group (with its enormous technological and financial power) keep pushing so called new generations with almost the same design, designs that other producers would simply call "facelifts"... I understand the principle of "why change if it works", but still, the world doesn't stop and sooner or later they'll be caught on the wrong foot... kudos for Korean brands...

2016 Volkswagen Touran render shows what to expect
yeap... and also I think that the VW's Group designer jobs are the easiest in the automotive industry... never taking risks as other manufacturers do... risks that can pay off or not, but as a company of this magnitude and financial power, one might expect that they can afford to think outside the box... their idea that "if it works why change it", might turn against them in time... as it was the case for... let's say Nokia, for example, which from the number one cell phone producer in the world, in just a few years they simply vanished, because they were too confident in their lineup, which proved to be a fatal mistake...

Mitsubishi shows the future with an old concept in Chicago
usually, concept cars are really exciting, beautiful, sexy but when they get closer to production they're toned down and lose the concept's appeal... for this... hopefully it will be toned down... a lot... cause, oh, man, that's truly ugly...

Chinese BYD reveals Tang hybrid SUV with 505 HP, already available for order
...96,000???... USD???... I thought... oh... nevermind... and BTW, the front looks weird to me, like they've tried too much and ended up exaggerating the front design... oh, well... I wish them good luck... it shouldn't be too hard to find 200 customers... back home...

King Felipe VI of Spain surprised with his fully restored first ever vehicle
...s..tty or not, I appreciate the fact that his father didn't bought for him a Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari or any other premium expensive car, but instead bought him a below average, peoples car... nice... compared to many today's spoiled children who receive as gifts from their parents cars worth hundreds of thousands of euros...

Lamborghini Asterion could eventually reach production
...well said HommeStar... +1... Personally, I love Gallardo, Aventador, Reventon, Huracan, but also I'm in love with this concept... hopefully, if it will reach production, it won't be different (much different) compared to this beauty...

28.5-liter four-cylinder Fiat engine started after 100 years [video]

Datsun Go and Maruti Suzuki Swift get shameful zero star rating in Bharat NCAP crash test
... +1 ... and I agree with you, Tomi.ro, and I think that "anneiv" should be banned on WCF... this guy can't hold his horses and he's the one who has some language issues... and BTW a small piece of advice for him: there are some specialized doctors who can take care of these "anger management" issues... ;)... and again, for this "anneiv" guy... his comment was a perfect example of what hateful means...

Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a sales hit, more than 100,000 units delivered in a year
...If 15 years ago, someone would've told me that China alongside USA will be considered the biggest market in the world for luxury items (or for anything else)... I would've recommended him to see a psychiatrist... as soon as possible!... and look where are they now... and BTW - great work Mercedes... beautiful car/s! ;)

Dacia could drop the Dokker, Lodgy or Logan MCV
I agree with you, "Tomi.ro"... Lodgy would be the most logical choice to discontinue... bland design and low sales are the perfect recipe for that...

2016 Opel Astra render shows upscale styling
... you're right, partially... It is specified in the article that: "It will be the first Astra ever to be manufactured ENTIRELY outside Germany"... with an emphasis on the word "entirely", because currently it's also built in Germany too...

FIFA 'wants to ban' Rosberg's world cup helmet
all of you guys are right... how stupid can this phrase be: - "undermines the integrity of the FIFA world cup and its marketing programme"... WHAT?!?!?!... and the guys who run this organization are renowned for their "integrity"... WOW... that's why probably, FIFA was the subject of so many high level corruption accusations lately... they are upset because there are no money getting into their pockets from this helmet!!!... I can't even laugh about this nonsense

Lamborghini Aventador gets faulty engine replacement and burns on the Autobahn
... hmmm ... today this kind of events became so trivial that they can't even be considered news... a small corner in a newspaper: "another supercar caught fire"... and that's all... no one is surprised anymore... but I guess that the insurance companies are very happy about these "events" when a single car costs "just" a few hundreds of thousands!

Germany to tax Autobahn drivers
you're right... and as a foreigner that drove many times on German highways, I can't find anything wrong with that... these highways were built and maintained with the German citizens public budgets and it is normal for anyone that uses these roads to pay a small tax to keep them in order... and again... I'm convinced that these funds will be used specifically for this and not taken away for some other "more important purposes"...

Rare 1968 Citroën DS 21 Decapotable for sale in the Netherlands
... the DS in general was/is for me, one of the most beautiful cars in the world... considering that the DS was launched in the mid 1950 it was so technologically advanced and also the design was way ahead of its time, making it even today a real head turner and a must have for a true car collector... If I could afford having a car collection, the DS would have a special place in it...

Toyota fuel cell vehicle to be launched later this year - report
I agree with you and I still think that the fuel cell technology is the future in the automotive industry, but currently the major setback is that the infrastructure is almost non-existing and without the help of the states (as it happened in Norway) the car companies alone can't change the world... and if we consider the huge oil corporation's lobbying on every level, I think it will still be a long way until we will all drive fuel cell cars...

yes... but considering the reactions posted here, it seems that the reasonable people are a lot more numerous than the "eternal wannabe victims" which shows that the world is moving away... and I guess it is a good thing... ;)

Historical study commissioned by Audi shows Auto Union’s Nazi ties
@Eliroze - this phrase alone tells me everything about your narrow tunnel vision: "For this crime, I hope Germany will pay forever (at least mentally)". You see only what you want to see and know only what you want to know and learning history it's not one sided. I think that you should go learn some more and not just from your side of the story... and again simply by saying that "Germans should pay forever"?!?!?!?... how stupid is that????... it's like saying that Americans should pay forever for destroying the native American civilization, like saying that Spain, England, Holland, etc, etc, etc should pay forever for the hundreds of thousands of Africans slaves' lives destroyed (children, men and women killed with no remorse)... and so on and so on... or maybe you should pay for Palestinian lives destroyed by you in the name of a so called justice... in the end who's narrow minded?

Historical study commissioned by Audi shows Auto Union’s Nazi ties
@TheCarMan - yes you are right about this and indeed it's a very honorable action coming from them, but generally speaking I still don't see the point of taking the blame again and again for eons, since they've already paid in full for their grand parents mistakes... it's over now and no one can bring back time...
