Mercedes GLC Coupe's roof box compensates smaller trunk [video]
As with 99.9% of mounted roof boxes, it has been positioned back to front. Aerodynamics 101 suggests that the tail be located at the back for reduced drag.

Alfa Romeo Giulia delay caused by failed crash tests?
Perhaps they have realised that they can do a much better job than the ugly front end we are currently seeing, despite what Alfisti tragics will tell you.

Ford Fiesta RS isn't going to happen
Good. It would make the more attainable Fiesta ST feel less special.

Ford F-150 gains engine start/stop system on EcoBoost models
This wasn't a feature before? It took them long enough.

Tuner adds gigantic rear wing on Lamborghini Aventador
In black and without the terribly designed wheels, this would actually be very menacing and sexy.

Dodge Viper reportedly axed over side curtain airbags
Spectacular looking thing. Perhaps the necessary evolution of the Viper loses two cylinders and is priced against the Corvette. The name should be related, say: Dodge Python, Adder or Anaconda...

Dodge Viper reportedly axed over side curtain airbags
Side curtain airbags add weight and, presumably, keep people alive. Both those things contribute further to climate change. Axe the side curtain airbag instead.

GTA Spano from Need For Speed movie for sale at $1.62M
I cannot think of any movie except for the NFS movie in which I spent the first ten minutes shaking my head in disbelief and laughing furiously before turning off the TV.

Updated Fisker Karma arrives in Detroit as supercharged VLF Destino [video]
Looks immensely better in black than white. The name is terrible.

Alpine to finally show production car on February 16
Side-mirrors are overrated and shouldn't replace simply turning one's head in these kinds of vehicles. Plus, the bigger they are the less aerodynamic and less visually pleasing the vehicle, of course.

How does the Fiat Toro look in real life?
With a burgeoning, highly profitable utility segment and the only other model really being the 500 and its derivatives, Fiat would be crazy to not sell it in Australia.

Rolls-Royce Wraith Carbon Fiber isn't actually lighter

Mitsubishi details shift to more SUVs, SUTs and electrified models
Huge in Australia now (10% of all vehicles sold) where the American class of large pick-ups are not officially sold. Fulfilling the role of both work duties and family car. See, eg, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton, VW Amarok, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Toyota Hi-Lux, Holden Colorado, Nissan Navara etc.

Infiniti hints Q50 Eau Rouge could still happen, eventually
Concern regarding profitability is understandable; I don't think it would sell too well. That said, in decisions regarding production of halo models, profitability shouldn't always be the sole factor; R&D and brand image benefits are important to consider (see, eg, VAG's Bugatti Veyron program).

Mitsubishi confirms no Lancer, Galant, and Pajero successors are planned
I don't think this is necessarily a bad move. The SUV sector is growing faster than any other and is extremely profitable (at least in Australia. See, eg, Mazda CX-5 and Porsche Cayenne). It makes sense to put more eggs in that basket, even if it does mean temporarily dropping popular and long-serving nameplates until they return to adequate profitability.

2016 Holden Captiva revealed, will replace the Captiva 5 & Captiva 7
Not quite as incredibly hideous as their Cruze update, but certainly more ugly than the current and significantly underwhelming Captiva range.
