After growing out of Thomas the Tank Engine at about 5 or 6, I became infatuated with cars instead, with my first "favourite car" being the Ferrari F50. I'm a big fan of other European supercars of the time as well such as the Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1, Lamborghini Diablo, basically anything you could drive in Need For Speed II! But when I got a Sony PlayStation for my birthday, Gran Turismo took over my life. I am thus also a big fan of '90s Japanese sports cars, and particularly the Nissan GT-R. I used to follow the BTCC - back when it was exciting in the late '90s and early '00s - and I'm an avid follower of F1. I've also been watching TopGear for as long as I can remember (even in the 1990s when it was 30 mins and had most of the people who became Fifth Gear presenters in it!)

Subaru Levorg GT priced from £27,495 in UK
Who are they kidding charging £27,500 for that spec?! Maybe with 250bhp and a manual gearbox they'd have people's attention. As it is, while a Levorg with the right powertrain in it would be cool, they've gone about this all wrong.

Ferrari F12 TRS spotted once again ahead of this weekend’s official reveal
They can spread the cost of developing LaFerrari across 499 models, whereas there is only one of these, and if it does have KERS then that will have taken a lot of re-engineering and re-packaging to get it all installed in a front-engined car (which doesn't use a CF monocoque but an alloy spaceframe chassis) when it was designed for a mid-engined one. They also had to custom make every single body panel and God knows what else...

Nissan GT-R Spec-V catches fire at the Nurburgring race track [video]
It's still surprising, if that really is a SpecV version. That version came with track-spec carbon ceramic brakes reportedly worth £36,000!

McLaren P15 coming in 2017, could feature hybrid technology - report
"a mid-engine two seater with a carbon fiber monocoque structure" So it'll be just like every McLaren road car ever, then. Good to know.

Next-gen Nissan GT-R to have 800 HP - report
Nonsense. And how the hell would it have the same 0-60 time as it does now with another 250bhp and instant torque?!

Porsche 911 Targa leaked? [UPDATED]
Even though it's a render, there's no way it'll look more than 5% different to this... and I like it.

AMG Vision Gran Turismo to reach limited production via custom builder, based on the SLS AMG GT
I imagine they'll give it some actual wheel clearance, and maybe the novel addition of a back window. Otherwise, awesome!

Ferrari testing 2014 F1 engine in LaFerrari? [video]
There's no way they'd sound like that! They've tested Maserati turbo engines in a California mule, though.

Ferrari testing 2014 F1 engine in LaFerrari? [video]
It's the sound they made 30 years ago, a time everyone gets nostalgic about, so I think it's OK. I know it's not a screamer anymore, but there's more going on and I like it.

The rear end looks too hefty IMO. Too big and blocky. The rest of it looks nice if not particularly outstanding.

2015 six-door MINI Traveller/Spacebox spied for the first time
Oh sure then, we'll just have Ferrari make an MPV, Rolls-Royce make a low-budget hatchback, Land Rover make a sports saloon and Bugatti make an SUV. Forget brand history...

2015 six-door MINI Traveller/Spacebox spied for the first time
Mini has a new meaning all right: Money. It's not about anything else anymore. BMW will just whore out the iconic badge as many ways as they think of, ignoring its meaning. It's so depressing...

Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series laps the Nurburgring in 7:25.67 [video]
Not really an apples-to-apples comparison. The SLS isn't in the same league as the Carrera GT was - that's like comparing it to a 918 Spyder. The SLS Black is however 4-5s faster than a normal SLS and 14-15 seconds faster than the McLaren-Mercedes SLR, which is a better point of comparison.

FIA checks Red Bull for bending floor
The flexing is caused by the brackets expanding as they get hot and pushing it upwards. The actual "tea tray" isn't flexing under load (beyond legal tolerances). They just needed to know if the heat expansion actually did move the floor upwards, and it turns out it doesn't.

2016 Nissan GT-R gets rendered
That actually looks pretty good, but I don't think it will look like that. They've said it'll be evolution rather than revolution, and there's no way they'd get rid of the four red rings. That's a GT-R signature.
