Camouflaged Mercedes-AMG E63 arrives at the Nurburgring for more tests [video]
As apparent by the body control witnessed in the clip; I simply implied that some form of upgraded MB drive technology is at work - hence "on rocks". Whether or not it will be branded as "Magic Body" or utilize an alternate nomenclature exclusive to the E (yet having the very same purpose) will be revealed in time. It's all about reading in between the lines - but thanks!

Replayed. Just unreal. I cannot believe the level of power coupled with the handling and precision at such high speed. Magic Body and Sport+ on rocks. I was waiting for something to break.. the car, the track, my screen, something. Even in camo it is a sexy menace. The exhaust note beautifully dense.. one of the very best.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GL facelift officially revealed as the new GLS
Let's hope that the next generation will be worthy of the competitive class. I would want a flagship MB SUV to be equivalent to the S-Class saloon. If you are shopping this segment, then the Range will more than hold its own. The Bentayga (although not a fan) and forthcoming Rolls Royce will redefine the market. Luxing-up the interior and branding with Maybach trim will only hurt the Maybach brand. This model needs to be spectacular from the inside-out before receiving the Maybach marque especially since it's likely that the exterior/interior of a Maybach spec GLS won't deviate much from the base model.. The current Maybach S has provided the marque with hope for new life - don't damage it with the G.

Mercedes-Benz Gullwing resurrected through impressive design study
By the way, have any of you seen what the wheels/rims of the Concept IAA do in motion? It is quite impressive.

Mercedes-Benz Gullwing resurrected through impressive design study
I think this is fantastic. Obviously it's representative of a Gullwing circa 2030. The hinge point of the door is refreshing - the doors are still opening from the bottom up. Looks very sculptural in the open position. The wheel design is among the very best I've ever seen. Overall it may not be the most Mercedes of aesthetics with the One-77 style body shell but there are lines and details which make it so. He is not a tenured MB designer, so it is open to reinterpretation and quite frankly these inventive and innovative student concepts tend to keep the Creative Directors on their toes. Isn't it a usual complaint that MB's are not shapely or sexy enough?! (Cue S-Class Coupe/ AMG GT). This achieves both and still retains some of the poise and class of the original. Enjoy it. It wouldn't have felt out of place next to the Concept IAA at Frankfurt or next to a SLR Sterling Moss. It shows that this type of form could work for MB and personally, I wish MB would do a super sports coupe something like this.

Mercedes CLC four-door coupe reportedly in the works
CLS will probably become "SE" since CL is now S and it will likely retain its slot against the A7. It seems that the A9 would be positioned toward the S-Class Coupe. And not to mention that the AMG GT based 4-door super coupe is in development to duel with the Panamera.

Jaguar F-PACE priced from $40,990 in the U.S.
Excellent move by Jaguar. This may very well be the runaway success needed. I can picture it amassing a significant portion of the segment. It has mass appeal, is practical, sexy and the price is a steal, although, would you spend an additional 14k for the S over the 35t for virtually the same performance figures.

Lamborghini Huracan Spyder ad shows what they meant with “the sky will never be the same” [video]
Unfortunately, you can't "own the sky" from the streets..Owning the sky requires wings, hypersonic speeds and a supreme airfleet. Nice try though. Gorgeous car and appealing ad nonetheless.. if only a down pour in Dubai were actually a pretty sight..

Jaguar C-X75 was almost given a reprieve
In other news... Acura is STILL developing the next generation NSX. So no. "Too old" actually means we are too scared, or rather petrified in more stately English. There's also a cattier slang word for it...ehm, meow.

McLaren could build future BMW supercar
Nice deal. They must figure it to be a good move considering the global success of the R8 and the cult appeal the 918 has inspired (as with any Porsche)in terms of marque visibility if not explosive revenue. For some odd reason, the high cost of the 918 didn't hit me until recently. I would be very curious to know toward which end of the market they intend to position this vehicle. An extraordinary hypercar like F1 to battle the likes of the aforementioned 918, Koenigsegg, LaFerrari etc.? Less than 100 street legal examples like the F1 for serious collectors-or more accessible like the R8? Time will reveal. Probably has the other marques on edge. This news gives credence to my hunch that perhaps the new MB supercar may very well be rear mid-engine. Either Dr. Z or Weber noted a little while back that it was not off of their radar.

Mercedes Model S competitor to be "emotional" and "different"
The reveal was spectacular. Still photography does this vehicle little justice. I am not fond of the extending airfoil's look.. but excellent advances made with this vehicle nonetheless. MB always pushes the technological and design envelope and with great success. I cannot wait to see where this leads.

Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo revealed, debuts in Frankfurt
I anticipated something even more in the direction of Formula1, which could/would be insane. A one-seater like Quete remarked. But Bugatti may have LeMans aspirations for the near future like Kouki remarked. That would be excellent. There are actually some excellent design cues on this such as the inset headlamps, sharp character/aero lines and vented rear end with tail lamp blade. The rear does give a Mclaren P1 vibe but that's a good thing. I love the manner in which the roof-line scallops over the air inlet and encapsulates the entry door. The interior is probably my favorite part. If these elements carry over to the Chiron (hopefully with a more distinct body shell), then they may be able to sell more in a shorter period of time relative to the Veyron, but still I wish them good luck on achieving the estimated production run of 500 units @ 2.2M... (if those figures turn out to be factual). I imagine the one-off editions will have an even higher price tag.

Lamborghini says the sky will never be the same after Frankfurt
Perhaps they're entering the air-charter/ coach-built private & corporate aircraft interiors, like Jaguar did with Beechcraft in the late 90' and more recently MB with Airbus/Eurocopter and now MB with Lufthansa as presented during Auto-China last year."The Sky Will Never Be The Same". Key word being "sky". I don't see what else it could be, but you never know.

Bugatti Chiron allegedly debuting at Geneva Motor Show with €2.2M price tag
1M more? This thing better fly! Now I'm very interested to know which other advancements beyond a higher top speed and mpg (as if one drove his Veyron at top speed all day everyday) does this feature to better justify an entire million more. 450 to 500 units strikes me as a very high run for a car with such a price tag. And their wishes are to sell out faster than the Veyron... time will tell.

Cherry red Cadillac CT6 photographed in China
The fascia, proportions and side-profile of the 2014/15' CTS & CT6 are very attractive, the fascia of the CTS in particular but falls apart at the rear end. Like parts from two different cars. In agreement with Alfa_Tifoso whom posted the Ciel image - the rear end of a modern Cadillac should take your breath away or at least look like part of the same car. I support the brand in finding a new footing but I also suspect that it will not have many chances to redeem itself beyond the next generation if it doesn't bring some thunder soon.

Bentley working on a business case for the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept but isn't in a rush
Well, such plans must be carefully considered. Costs of R&D, manufacturing; facility/ assemblage, time tables, markets & marketing, establishing suitable sources of parts production (and alternate methods of reducing cost of parts)legalities, etc. etc. It's not a walk in the park. You simply cannot "greenlight" such a product without gathering, processing and presenting ALL pertinent logistical data. Hence the business case.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe officially unveiled [video]
This would deter me from purchasing an S Coupe. To think that I'd top out at 130K-140K USD on the special S Coupe 4 (after adding some desirable options) to then have this C Coupe pull up next to me at a red light is beyond me. Of course you purchase far more than an exquisite body shell but the resemblances begin to detract. The new C Coupe is decent looking overall however the "crying" tail lights further dampen the rear end. The sedan appears sexier.

Bentley Bentayga allegedly leaks out in official diecast model
Imagining it as a 1:1, it's decent looking vehicle, however it doesn't do the Bentley team any major favors in terms of creativity. I believe we were all expecting a far more evolutionary design after over a decade of the Continental GT aesthetic (subsequent Flying Spur/ Mulsanne).. under the surmise that it's too much of an dated to simply cut and past onto an entirely new vehicle segment but perhaps the strategy is to just introduce the model under current design language and then advance in the next with the rest of the lineup. Stronger that way. The so-called Bentayga will sell well enough.
