Ferrari FF facelift to keep V12, but customers are in for a “surprise”
Gain an electric motor, I doubt it would be a hybrid like the LaFerrari the FF doesn't have a lot of room to spare. So will it be electric, it could, Aston Martin has an electric Rapide, so I guess it could happen in the FF.

BMW i5 to be a stretched i3 or a sedan
I agree, if they don't start building electric cars with a more conventional functionality, and an electric range above 200 miles like next gen electrics are about to have, it'll be obsolete before it even hits the market.

BMW i5 to be a stretched i3 or a sedan
A bigger i3 would be a complete waste, they don't need another version of the same car. If they did, to me that would show the limitations of CFRP. If CFRP really worked, and was cost effective building a new model would be no problem, if they simply make a bigger i3 then they're obviously cutting development costs, and they are not capable of creating an affordable model that isn't just another electric hatchback.

Paul Walker’s father sues Porsche for Carrera GT’s lack of safety features
I wonder which member of his family will make a shameful money grab next? No safety feature can overcome high speed, you know which safety feature failed, the driver.

Good news, WorldCarFans: your accounts are active on Motor1
I created my account back in 2008, so I'm not happy that the site I've been reading for 7 years will dissapear thanks to a buy out. I have history with World Car Fans like many other readers. Not that Motor 1 isn't a nice looking site, but you can't buy readers off another site.

Porsche says current gesture control tech is nothing more than gimmick
Taking your hand off the wheel, and trying to rember your gestures will prove it a distracting toy eventually.

Porsche says current gesture control tech is nothing more than gimmick
I completely agree, you'll play with it once or twice after you buy the car for fun, and then get bored or frustrated with it like vocal commands.

2017 Audi Q7 pricing announced (US)
Next year is less then two months away. I've seen the new Q7 on the road here in the US three times this summer, I live near an Audi test center, the last time I saw it, it was following the new R8 V10 Plus.

BMW announces new method to compress hydrogen that significantly increases fuel cell car range
It's not the fuel burning that you'd have to worry about, it's explosive decompression. And because the tanks are pressurized by law the tanks and several other components have an expiration date after which the entire fuel system has to be replaced. If left unchecked from expansion and contraction the tanks will fail.

Aston Martin RapidE concept unveiled
@Chris, true, but you've got to start somewhere. And Tesla wasn't able to afford to do a Model S from day one, so obviously the Roadster worked well enough to launch the company.

Aston Martin RapidE concept unveiled
Tesla's first car, the Roadster, was a conversion. This being Aston's first, it looks pretty good, especially considering that it's a prototype test vehicle.

Wow, that's surprising, I didn't expect that they'd get a prototype running so soon, well done Aston.

Tesla Autopilot revealed and demonstrated [video]
This is why Tesla needs to be taken seriously, they can already do a lot of what the major automakers can do, and in some cases Tesla is the one leading the latest innovations.

Mercedes-Benz celebrates Back to the Future Day with three short yet great videos
I like it well done Mercedes, it's subtle things you've seen in the movie, and a car that looks like it has already traveled through time.

Interesting, I'm still looking forward to seeing the production version so I'm glad it sounds like the electric Q6 may still be on track for the 2018 model year.

Volkswagen to postpone or cancel all projects that aren't "absolutely necessary"
I hope your right, and it would make sense to bring out a zero tailpipe emissions car to start the process of regaining credibility.

Volkswagen to postpone or cancel all projects that aren't "absolutely necessary"
I wonder if the Audi Q6 e-tron, and Porsche Mission E are now sitting on the chopping block. They debuted them at Frankfurt, and then the diesel scandal dropped, the Audi seemed a lot further along then the Porsche but who knows. I would liked to have considered the Q6 before getting a Model X, but now there's no word on how the Q6 will be affected.

Future Tesla Model X owner complains about launch event
It wasn't exactly called off, I know I would have planned for a long evening. Given all the buzz surrounding the Model X I can understand why things could get hectic for Tesla managing guests, and trying to get the premier done wright.

Future Tesla Model X owner complains about launch event
I agree, his deposit doesn't entitle him to special privileges, and he has no right to publicly ridicule the CEO because he had to get up early for work the next morning. But I'm sure if Tesla did give him the boot he'd probably sue Tesla, unsurprisingly.

Future Tesla Model X owner complains about launch event
He went to a packed premiere, there was a small delay, and then he didn't want to wait for his turn in line. But his impatience doesn't mean anything, Elon Musk should feel ashamed....yeah right. Ever heard the term, spoiled brat?

DeltaWing unveils road and race car concepts at Road Atlanta
Its drag coefficient is good, but the shape has not produced significant results, it won't even beat the aerodynamics of cars already on the market. Are they just trying rip off the few investors they have left? How is Panoz still in business, few people know who they are, and all their cars look like cheap plastic kit cars?

Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Rain files wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche
They should face a penalty if it turns out in court that their claims had no merit, then maybe more people would think before they file suit. As is, it's just a way to grab money, even if Porsche had any guilt what would getting money out of them prove to society.

Tesla CEO says we've reached the limit of diesel and petrol engines
@GRAVE, coal and nuclear power, powers everything most people own. Televisions, lights, your washer and dryer, even the Internet that we are replying through wouldn't exist without it. Electric cars are zero emission vehicles, if you want a clean electrical grid too, that's an entirely separate thing that has existed long before any of us were born.
