RUF Dakara Debuts at the Geneva Motor Show

Tuner RUF does its version of the Porsche Cayenne.

The model is named the Dakara and comes with 22-inch wheels and 911 headlights intended to make this Porsche Cayenne SUV more sporty looking than it already is. The broadened fenders also give the Dakara a muscular, just-back-from-the-gym appearance.

The RUF body kit for the Cayenne also includes front and rear cameras and a top-notch multimedia system just in case you're so confident in your parallel parking skills that you'd rather watch TV than see how close you're coming to scrapping that poor Mondeo owner's fender. The interior also features a highly stylized leather trim befitting an upgraded luxury sport ute.

The Dakara comes with a V8 with an output of 600 hp and 890 Nm of torque and scurries up to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. Adjustments to the chassis along with ceramic brakes allow for the body to handle that kind of thunderous heartbeat.

The name Dakara is no doubt meant to evoke the city of Dakar, the final destination of the world's most intense rally race. Rather ironic, since this may be one Cayenne you'd prefer to keep rolling solely on pavement.

The High Luxury SUV built by RUF is named Dakara and is based on the Porsche Cayenne. The exterior and interior is able to embrace the most ambitious wishes. Because of the 911-headlights, the Dakara affects like a sports car. Four 22 inch- five spoke wheels and the broadened fenders demonstrate pure power. The bodykit fits to every Cayenne. So the Dakara is able to reach the speed of 62 mph (100 Km/h) in 4,8 sec. The chassis as well as the brake system are adjusted to the high requirements. Even ceramic-composite brakes are available.The Dakara perfectly ties in with the RUF model-range.
