Mazda has released today a few teaser sketches of its Kiyora Urban Concept slated to make its world debut in Paris this October. 'Kiyora', translated as meaning 'clean and pure' in Japanese represents the harmony between driving pleasure and environmental and safety features aspired to in Mazda's long-term technology development vision, 'Sustainable Zoom-Zoom.'

Incorporating Mazda's aerodynamic Nagare design, the concept of 'Kiyora' influenced Mazda designers to envisage a city car cutting cleanly through an urban landscape, with water as the design theme. The Kiyora is powered by Mazda's next-generation four-cylinder direct-injection engine.

The new Mazda Kiyora concept car is based on an all-new platform designed to minimise weight and maximise safety and driving pleasure. The interior features design and functions targeted to a youthful lifestyle.
