Luxury without the stretch

The executive class of cars seems to be reserved for German or British marques in Europe but Citroen is making an attempt to get a foot in the door. At the Frankfurt Motor Show Citroen launched a new C4 Picasso version called the Lounge.

The Citroen C4 Picasso Lounge comes equipped with four armchairs, instead of the usual couches, each with adjustable armrests and can be adjusted in height, length and rake for ultimate comfort. The interior is wrapped in black leather with the upper part of the seats featuring light-colored lining and chevrons in relief.

The visiospace concept offers unparallelled roominess, visibility and brightness, and without sacrificing the boot volume of 500 litres. Dark tinted, laminated windows supply the occupants with privacy and optimal acoustic comfort and safety. The Lounge sits in 18 inch aluminium wheels and is powered by the HDi 138 DPFS diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox. Expect the C4 Picasso Lounge in Germany at the end of 2007 and in the UK in the first quarter of 2008.

The C4 Picasso Lounge has two large armchairs front and rear, each with two adjustable armrests, providing first-class comfort for all four passengers. Each armchair can be adjusted for height, length and rake, while the front seats boast electric controls, with position memory on the driver's side. The seats are upholstered in special black leather with overstitching. The leather on the upper part of the seats features light-coloured lining and chevrons in relief. The cabin also receives varnished dashboard and door-panel trim.

All occupants benefit from the advantages of the C4 Picasso visiospace in terms of roominess, visibility, brightness, and comfort equipment. The Lounge version brings all four passengers complete travelling comfort with no compromise on boot volume (500 litres VDA under the parcel shelf).

This top-of-the-range model comes with a wealth of equipment for comfort and driving pleasure, and special exterior features including:
