Anniversary Roadster to be sold at auction

Twelve years are a relatively short period for a newly founded company to announce respectable production figures, especially when the product is a car. However, the sports car manufacturer Wiesmann succeeded: the 500th Wiesmann Roadster left Germany’s smallest sports car manufacture on March 31-2006.

This very sports car will be offered from now on on the Wiesmann-Homepage (www.wiesmann.com) to the highest bidder. In this context, the 500th Roadster will change ownership. According to Friedhelm Wiesmann the company will not put the additional money into its own pocket: This money will be donated to a non-commercial institution selected by the purchaser of the car, who of course will get a receipt of donation. The new owner will get an exclusive roadster, with a two-tone paint and full equipment, a real unique car.“ Furthermore, the 500th Wiesmann Roadster will carry a tag with the signatures of the company founders, Friedhelm and Martin Wiesmann.

The figure 500 is much more than just a number – for the Wiesmann brothers it’s like a dream which comes true. They reached this figure twelve years after production started! In the first year of production four roadsters were manufactured. In 2006, 100 roadsters are planned. The unbowed high demand is a result of the attractiveness of the car and the continuous expansion of sales activities. Nearly all cars produced are still in use, mostly during the warm and sunny seasons, the best season for roadsters.

Today, the sports car manufacturer Wiesmann is represented in five dealerships in Germany, as well as in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, France, Spain, Scandinavia and Monaco with partners. By the end of 2006 there will be another Wiesmann support point opened in Milan, Italy.
