World premiere of high-performance Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring
Chrysler Imperial Concept showcases elegance, comfort and rich heritage
For the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, the Chrysler brand is concentrating on its unique ability to deliver American-style high performance with relaxed elegance and innovation.
Exactly a year since the Chrysler Group introduced the Chrysler 300C SRT8 at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the Company now brings the versatile 300C Touring wagon as a high-performance SRT model. The 300C SRT8 Touring will be as sensational a drive as the Sedan, with a preliminary performance target of 0-100 km in the low five second range.
The Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring's normally aspirated 6.1-litre HEMI engine is the highest specific-output engine offered by the Chrysler Group delivering torque at 569 N m (420 lb.- ft.).
With power delivered to the road through the rear wheels, the Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring's fully independent performance-tuned suspension offers incredible handling and a composed ride.
Topped off with SRT design touches inside and out and with exceptional interior roominess and cargo space, it's as useful and it is powerful. The Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring will arrive in international showrooms in the second half of 2006, in both left- and right-hand drive.
Like the great Imperials of Chrysler's historic past, the all-new Chrysler Imperial concept vehicle is designed as Chrysler's modern flagship a luxury sedan that is elegant, provocative and aspirational. For inspiration, the designers looked not only to the classic Imperials of the 1930s and 1950s but also to Chrysler's long heritage of creative concept cars.
The crisp line that parallels the sill, then arches up over the rear wheel and flows to the rear of the car, signaling that this is a powerful rear-wheel drive automobile.
The interior is characterized by the interplay of harmonious, expressively curving shapes. Everything is nested, fitted and hand-crafted with every component subtly reinforcing the hand-sculpted look of the exterior. This is a driver's car, with a minimum of distracting gadgetry.
Drawing on the rich heritage of its memorable predecessors and endowed with modern dynamic proportions, this newest Chrysler Imperial concept is the finest expression of the Chrysler marque.
Based on new product offerings, Chrysler premium vehicles (comprised mainly of the Crossfire Coupe and Roadster, Sebring Sedan and Cabrio and 300C Sedan and Touring) increased year-over-year sales by 40 percent. Overall, Chrysler brand posted calendar-year sales of 85,347 units in markets outside of North America in 2005, a 3 percent increase compared with 2004.

All-new Dodge Nitro shakes up mid-size SUV market
World premiere of new Dodge B-segment concept vehicle
The introduction of the Dodge Caliber in Europe this summer marks the brand's expansion in volume markets outside of North America.
Dodge is determined to deliver the five key attributes of its brand bold design, capability, versatility, affordable power and 'street smart' all-round value to these new world markets, certain that Dodge vehicles will appeal to different customers than the Chrysler and Jeep® brands.
Hinting at the exciting future models destined for international markets, Dodge is also featuring the European premieres of Dodge Caliber SRT4 and Dodge Nitro.
Dodge Caliber embodies the key brand attributes and offers an alternative in the C segment by combining high value with bold styling and a flexible interior. It is designed to appeal to buyers around the world who want Dodge attitude, packaged with the capability and versatility of a sport-utility vehicle and the affordability and fuel-efficiency of a compact car.
The vehicle will be the first to offer the World Engine family of power units 1.8-litre, 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre as well as a second-generation continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the 2.0 petrol engine. A state-of-the-art 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine will also be available for Europe and other key diesel markets.
Dodge Caliber's cabin provides comfortable seating for the driver and up to four passengers, plus room for all their gear. Its sporty coupe-like profile with the strength, stance and functionality of an SUV commands attention and evokes attributes that define the Dodge brand: bold, powerful, capable and street smart.
The Dodge Caliber will be available in Europe and other international markets during the Summer of 2006.
Chrysler Group's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) group will take its ultimate-performance reputation to new heights with the introduction of the all-new Dodge Caliber SRT4.
Powered by an SRT-engineered, 2.4-litre turbo-charged engine producing 224 kW (304 hp DIN) of power and 352 N m of torque under the hood 63 more kilowatts (horsepower) compared to the original Dodge SRT4 the Dodge Caliber SRT4 is for the enthusiast who wants all-around performance of a true "tuner car." The SRT4's ample power is driven through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission for plenty of quick-shifting excitement.
Dodge Caliber SRT4 is the 12th SRT vehicle developed under the credo of "Race inspired, street legal" and will continue the Dodge brand's promise of affordable power. It will arrive in international markets in the first half of 2007.
Dodge is spicing up the mid-size SUV market with the introduction of the sensational, all-new Dodge Nitro the brand's first mid-size SUV a vehicle whose bold and aggressive styling matches its dynamic performance.
Buyers searching for a vehicle with "attitude" will be able to choose from two V-6 petrol engines (3.7-litre and 4.0-litre), and an all-new 2.8-litre turbo diesel. The turbo diesel generates 134 kW (182 hp DIN) of power and comes with automatic and manual transmissions.
Nitro boasts excellent acceleration, braking, and handling as well as class-leading fuel efficiency. The Dodge Nitro will be available in Europe and other international markets during the first quarter of 2007.
Rallye-ready and eager to go, the new Dodge Hornet concept vehicle making its world premiere at the Geneva Motor show brings to the B-segment market a vehicle that's internationally sized and amped with American attitude.
Robust, capable, and most definitely not "cutesy," the Dodge Hornet Concept has a distinct 'edge' to its design.
Tough, brash and eager to be off, the 1.6-litre, 16-valve OHC supercharged I/C four-cylinder engine puts out 127 kW (170 hp)/224 N•m (165 lb.-ft.) of torque @ 4000 rpm.
The Dodge Hornet concept brings to the competitive entry-level B-segment market an ideal combination of American fun and European function.
Dodge sold almost 1.2 million vehicles in the U.S. in 2005. Dodge is the fifth-largest nameplate in the United States. The Dodge brand arrives in European volume segments starting in 2006 with the international launch of the Dodge Caliber.

The Jeep brand is expanding into new territories during 2006 with the all-new Jeep Compass, the seven-passenger Jeep Commander, the fastest-ever Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, the upscale Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and the exciting Jeep Patriot concept vehicle.
Making its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the Jeep Compass production vehicle combines the packaging and functionality of an SUV with the performance, handling, fuel economy and price of a compact car. The Jeep Compass also provides highly efficient fuel economy, a long list of safety features, a choice of two powertrains, and interior flexibility, all at a great value. Further enhancing Compass' handling and safety is a host of road-holding technologies from Brake Traction Control and Electronic Stability Program to Electronic Roll Mitigation and Brake Assist. Compass will be available at dealerships around the world during the second half of 2006.
The introduction of the all-new Jeep Commander, on sale in Europe from March, signals the ongoing Jeep product offensive scheduled for the next two years in markets outside of North America. Classic in design, Commander is the first of the Jeep family to offer standard three-row seating, accommodating up to seven passengers. This nimble, rugged 4x4 is engineered to perform as only Jeep vehicles can, offering more capability, more flexibility and advanced safety and security
technologies that are sure to appeal to international customers.
Jeep Commander shares the same Jeep 4 x 4 drive systems, powertrains and wheelbase as Grand Cherokee and is every bit as maneuverable and off-road capable as its five-seater sibling. Produced in Graz, Austria with the new 3.0-litre CRD V-6 engine and a choice of two petrol V-8 engines including the 5.7-litre HEMI® with MDS, the Commander will be a compelling package for many customers when it becomes available in the first quarter of 2006 in Europe and markets outside of North America.
The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 also making its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show combines the brand's famous qualities with Street and Racing Technology's (SRT) balanced approach to performance, resulting in the quickest, most powerful Jeep vehicle ever created. Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 offers raw power, exceptional ride and handling, world-class braking, race-inspired interior appointments and functional, performance-oriented exterior enhancements.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is powered by a 6.1-litre HEMI® V-8 with performance targets of 0-100 km in the low 5-second range.
Also produced in Graz, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 will be available in international markets in the second quarter of 2006.
New for 2006 is the addition of the range-topping Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland model. With a soft-touch premium interior and platinum-accented elegant exterior, the Overland model takes the Grand Cherokee to new upscale heights. Inside, the Overland model delivers an up-market ambience, with enhanced trim materials in wood and leather. Two-tone seats with ultra-suede and leather trim are embroidered with an Overland logo. Elegant exterior platinum accents round out the appealing package.
Also built in Graz, the new Overland model will be available in European and other international markets during the first quarter of 2006.
Jeep designers have gone to the extreme once again, creating an all-new SUV concept that could be developed to expand the Jeep brand into further new territory. First shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Patriot is shown again in Geneva to further gauge public response to a concept that hints at a model the Jeep brand could build for global markets as soon as next year.
A very distinctive interpretation of a compact Jeep, Patriot is designed to complement Jeep Compass as the two models target different sets of consumers who seek great value and fuel efficiency. The 4x4 Jeep Patriot Concept would expand the brand's global lineup, and offer all-new Jeep technology for genuine Jeep-style road capability, but Patriot would also be the most capable vehicle in its class.
The heroic heritage of Jeep and its dominance of the SUV market stretch back more than 65 years. Jeep is known worldwide for its core attributes of mastery, authenticity, freedom and adventure. Sales of Jeep brand vehicles outside of North America rose 15 percent year-over-year with 84,019 units sold in 2005. All three models Wrangler, Cherokee (Liberty) and Grand Cherokee posted gains over the prior year.

European Debut for Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and All-new Dodge Caliber SRT4 and Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring
Formed in 2002, the Chrysler Group's Street Racing Technology (SRT) division has become one of the auto industry's leading in-house performance operations. It creates some of the Chrysler Group's boldest, most distinctive products by single-mindedly following its core vision: deliver benchmark performance at the lowest price and deliver it with absolute integrity and credibility. In addition to boosting performance, SRT was created to boost the image of Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® vehicles.
Each SRT vehicle displayed by the Chrysler Group at the Geneva Motor Show showcases five key attributes: exterior styling that resonates with the brand image; race-inspired interiors; class-leading ride and handling characteristics across a broad dynamic range; benchmark braking; and standout powertrain.
All-new for 2006, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 the ultimate performance SUV is the quickest, most powerful Jeep vehicle ever made. It is powered by the 6.1-litre HEMI® V-8 producing 322 kW (432 hp) and 569 N•m (420 lb. ft.) of torque making it quicker than the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and BMW X5 with performance figures of 0-100 km in the low 5-second range, 0-160-0 km in the low 19-second range, and 100-0 km braking in approximately 38.1 m (125 ft.).
Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the first Jeep SRT vehicle, offering on-road and all-weather ability and performance with a specially developed reinforced four-wheel drive system offering highly capable performance. It will be available in Europe and other international markets in the first half of 2006.
All-new for 2007, the five-door Dodge Caliber SRT4 brings excitement to the "hot hatch" market, with its aggressive bonnet scoop, enhanced body styling and dramatic 19-inch alloy wheels.
Caliber SRT4 will be the most powerful Caliber model, with a turbo-charged version of the 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol "World Engine." This DOHC 16-valve power unit produces 223 kW (300 hp) and 352 N•m (260 lb. ft.) of torque. Performance figures include 0-100 km acceleration in approximately 6 seconds, the engine driving the front wheels via a special 6-speed Getrag manual gearbox with limited-slip differential. The vehicle will be available in markets outside North America in early 2007.
Introduced in 2005, the Chrysler 300C SRT8 sedan and the all-new SRT8 Touring of 2006, are the natural evolution of the Chrysler brand, the SRT brand, and the HEMI®.
The heart of both 300C SRT8 vehicles is the larger capacity engine, which takes the HEMI® to the next level with 25 percent more power than the 5.7-litre version. The 317 kW (425 hp) normally aspirated 6.1-litre HEMI® has a 69.8 hp-per-litre rating that exceeds even that of the legendary 1966 "Street HEMI®." Torque is rated at a massive 569 N•m (420 lb. ft.).
The 300C SRT Touring arrives in Europe and other international markets in the second half of 2006.
Redesigned from the ground up in 2003 and now in its third generation, the Dodge Viper SRT10 continues to be the ultimate American sports car.
The V-10, 8.3-litre engine generates 372 kW (500 hp) and 712 N•m (525 lb. ft.) of torque and boasting estimated performance figures of 0-100 km acceleration in approximately 4 seconds and 0-160-0 km in the low 12-second range.
All-new for 2006, the Dodge Viper Competition Coupe "tops off" the Viper lineup, and features not only a hardtop canopy, but also all-new, unique and dramatic rear-end styling, clearly differentiating it from the convertible.
Developed under the credo, "Race inspired, street legal," other Chrysler Group vehicles comprising the SRT family include Dodge Ram SRT10, Chrysler Crossfire SRT6, Dodge Magnum SRT8 and Dodge Charger SRT8.
