City car designed by Bruno Giardino

GINKO is the brand new Giottiline city-car designed by Bruno Giardino, created for getting about easily in town. The extremely modern and attractive three-box car styling appeals at first glance; the opening upward of the doors (by electronic control) and the elegance of the upholstery rightly place the Ginko at the top in the elite class of vehicles that can be driven with a moped licence. The performance levels, too, have a truly complete range of use: from diesel and electric engines which, owing to the low power rating, are addressed at fourteen-year-olds (it depends from the country), to the sprightly petrol engine that gives sixteen-year-olds (it depends from the country) the wink. Completely innovative from the aesthetic and styling point of view, the Ginko is also innovative from the technical point of view and it is an alluring alternative to motor cycles and scooters.

Safety

On the Ginko, painstaking care and development has been given to this aspect. The metal roll-bars buried in the fibre-glass, the structural reinforcements of the body and chassis and the increased thicknesses (particularly in the area of the engine mounts) warrant the rigidity and strength of the structure. Specific anti-intrusion bars in the doors protect against side bumps. The damping system that characterises the body structure and the standard safety belts with pretensioner offer effective protection in the event of a crash. The bumpers separated from the body prevent the damage spreading effect in the case of light bumps.

Interior Fitting

It is truly suited to an advanced project like the Ginko's: everything is harmonious and well organised under the hallmark of the natural elegance of superior class sport vehicles. The anatomic seats, which are comfortable also for big people, the sporty, height-adjustable three-spoke steering wheel, the elegant dashboard which includes a convenient 12 volt socket and a glovebox with mobile phone holder are all attractive features of the vehicle. The four recesses in the centre tunnel and the generously-sized boot offer adequate stowage capacity.

The Colours

With the Ginko it is nice to find the colour combinations most suitable for one's way of being and living. There is a choice among five different shades: Fox City Black and Electric Blue for an elegant, distinctive look; Apple Green to be ever in step with the times; Traffic Grey for the pleasure of standing out at the wheel under every traffic situation and Metropolitan Red to convey a strong feeling of sportive boldness even when the Ginko is at a standstill ! This colour range is always combined with the Titanium Grey of the body surrounds and pillars.
