Both the smart fortwo truestyle and the smart fortwo edition nightrun are based on the "pure" design and equipment line. In addition to "jetline" alloy wheels, the smart fortwo truestyle features special "ruby red metallic" paintwork - combined with a tridion cell in black -, rds radio as standard and a glass roof with sunscreen (only for the smart fortwo coupé truestyle). The special model can be ordered with a 45 kW petrol engine or a 30 kW cdi diesel engine. With the exception of the exterior colour and the tyres, customers can choose any of the wide range of options available to enhance their cars. In Germany, the special model fortwo truestyle with a petrol engine costs € 10,277 (fortwo coupé) and € 12,860 (fortwo cabrio), both including VAT. The diesel variants cost € 11,010 and € 13,660 respectively.
The smart fortwo edition nightrun comes with a 55 kW petrol engine that is otherwise only available in the BRABUS design and equipment line, enabling it to reach a top speed of 150 km/h as against the top speed of 135 km/h achieved by smart fortwo models with other engine variants. In addition to this, the special edition is supplied with a BRABUS sports exhaust and heat shield, air conditioning plus, a three-spoke sports steering wheel with integrated shift paddles and the smart audio package. Both the smart fortwo coupé and the smart fortwo cabrio edition nightrun are exclusively available with a black tridion safety cell and bodypanels in the colour jack black. The prices in Germany are € 14,880 (fortwo coupé) and € 17,520 (fortwo cabrio), including VAT. To underline its exclusiveness, the smart fortwo edition nightrun will be produced as a limited edition of just 400 models.
