New Audi Logo Debuts at Frankfurt Motor Show I wonder when, and if, they will even put this new design onto the vehicles? The current cars still wear the previuse design rings. Maybe the D4 A8 will be the first to wear them seeing as it is suppost to bring about a new design direction for the brand? It would be interesting to see the difference this makes if they are added to the vehicles.

If you look very, very closely at the teaser image you can see the edges of the grille that resemble the sketch and the LED strips on the teaser exactly follow the sketch as well. I hope that the grille keeps those striking chrome spikes at the edges like in the drawing. Fantastic work with finding that sketch, I believe you may have uncovered the design path the D4 will follow. Remember they said the D4 A8 will mark a new design direction for future Audi's. I think that sketch shows it with the differently shaped grille, headlights and interior grille design. It looks fantastic, I can't wait to see the car now that I have seen that sketch which corresponds to the teaser image.

Audi A5 Sportback officially revealed in depth A lot of people go on about how each model in the BMW lineup looks very different, however not too long ago (in the late 90's, early millenium) most of their models shared their design features with one another, which looked very good (it was probably the high point of their design). Look at the old 5 series, 7 series etc from that time. They were very similar in design, but very good. They are one of the reasons BMW are where they are today. Most Audi's share common design elements but they are all good. Its a shame BMW lost their way when Bangle came in and bungled it all up. I hope that the same doesn't happen to Audi. And besides people don't complain about Aston Martins etc looking the same do they?
