Opel strategy a failure says GM Vice Chairman
December 6, 2011
Lets see; technology, quality, innovation, design language, reliability, niche variants (the GTCs, GTs, OPCs, Meriva, Zafira) are all above the average of all European brands and much more satisfactory than most of them. he recent studies in the US showed us that the most profitable variants are truck pick-ups, and everbody knows why. VW makes volume and money out of its CADDY, TRANSPORTER and CRAFTER operations, only this way they can reduce the breakdown levels, cut the cost, increase the profitability margins and focus on the cars. 1 - Opel needs to have its own (not those made by Renault, or Fiat or Daewoo) rivals to ; Caddy, Transporter, Crafter, briefly LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES, 2 - Opel must bui?ld its own 1.6 liter diesel engine (VW Group, Ford, Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Hyundai, Fiat all have it, and Opel DOES NOT HAVE, WHY ?) 3 - The new Astra Sedan must be made availabe A.S.A.P. 4 - All of its products must be SOLD under Opel brand GLOBALLY. I am not a German, but these guys in Russelheim know this business best, all they need to have is A FREEDOM ad SUPPORT from the American big brothers.

Saab's old website had a very nice animation about the working principals of the bi-turbo diesel, when you open the throttle you would see which turbo is engaged.

Opel has been working on this (check the older pages of WCF) biturbo diesel, and on the other hand Saab has got it 2-3 years ago, but the outcome was less as far as I remember.

Oh la la... This is one of the most anticipated engines since 2009, and for the a.m. comments, what I agree is that Insignia is a really heavy, upper class wannabe, yet so well handling car, imagine u can also get a 4x4, and the reviewers say that it drives like gliding on railway.
2012 Opel Astra OPC spied with minimal camouflage

Lets be honest, none of its rivals has such a nice proportional overall look and let us also not make any assumptions about the steering, it is too early for this. All we know about the OPC is the speculations, it may come out as AWD just like Insignia OPC...

I don't understand why you don't understand. It is amongts the most copied brand, copied by all the far eastern manufacturers + citroen, peugeot, skoda and seat. Furthermore, this cars looks much better than any of the Porsche (that does not mean that it is better than Porsche, but this has a killer look)...

Heh heh heh, I agree with all of the above. just wonder, how to clean up a truck that has so many grift details like this one. Plus you never wanna clean and wax this up just to watch it a bit afterwards, it is no joy or fun.
Opel concept announced for Frankfurt debut
August 17, 2011
Why are you guys so hostile to Opel? I think totally the opposite, please name manufacturers that Opel supposedly has copied the Insignia, the new Astra and the new Corsa from. But I can immediatley count more than 5 brands who cpied Opel's designs such as Hyundai, Kia, Peugeot, Mazda, Toyota etc.
