Volkswagen Amarok Canyon concept unveiled in Geneva That can't be right. Unless the tariffs for cars and trucks differ (which doesn't make too much sense), because the only car VW builds in the US is the new Passat. And I can't drive 5 block without seeing at least 2 brand new Jettas. I think it has more to do with how VW perceives the US market and what the majority of the truck drivers want. The Amarok was designed to compete with the Hilux, another non US truck. Either way, I would take an Amarok or a Hilux before the Tacoma that I ended up settling for.

Mercedes G-Class could stick around until 2020 - report I'm glad MB are finding ways to keep the G around by improving and somewhat modernizing it within its original rugged architecture. I also love the current Defender but don't like that LR are making it look like a plastic toy, so i'm glad MB aren't going that route (at least not yet). Also keeps my hopes up of possibly being able to buy a new one some day!
