May be it's an after-market kit made by a company called Auto-Plast???
Mercedes GLK facelift spied with minimal camouflage

Will have to see the official pics but I like the current version because it suits the boxy profile better than the CLS-esque front grill and bumper lines on this spy shot. It just doesn't look like a baby G-Wagen anymore.

Looks like a Storm-trooper from Star Wars with an angry face. They are stupid not to sell this. It's better than the Veloster. Looks like the cost of building this (in the std 4 door body) will not be too expensive. Atleast incorporate the engine, chasis, and body bits into a production car!

I don't know about you but my experience with the Acura Legend and the Integra wasn't that great...both cars needed new transmissions and suffered from water-pump failure. The Legends had a busted cam shaft. I got both cars serviced at the dealer regularly so maintenance wasn't an issue. and a lot of my friends drove Hondas back in college...and their cars were getting loose and shaky after a few years.
AMG dismisses diesel engines
February 9, 2012
I recently switched to a diesel GLK. I love it. It has great torque for city driving. But let's get realistic. If you drive a diesel car like a performance car the real world fuel economy is not that great to warrant a diesel. Also I have to wonder how long transmissions in these performance diesel cars will last. Plus the heat issues from running diesels cars very hot will be another long-term reliability concern. Mercedes is fairly conservative when it comes to issues like these. So it makes sense for them not to go crazy with excess stress on the drive train from souped up diesels. AMG is already working on a great solution for fuel economy with their cylinder shut off. AMG should invest more research into making petrol cars more eco-friendly...which will have broader benefits into the rest of their line-ups. You have to also consider that in major AMG markets diesel is not too popular. Seeing demand for performance diesel car is sort of a Eurocentric look into the car market. Besides...one of the best parts of the AMG expperience the exhaust note. Just starting the engine is a great experience and brings pleasure. Can't imagine why anyone would buy one without it. FYI...AMG did have a diesel model based on the W203 C class. It didn't do too well.
Mercedes introduces active seat-belt buckle technology
February 9, 2012
As a parent that has to buckle my son into his booster seat in the rear I really appreciate this function. It's a hassle every time I try to buckle him in. It's one of those things that either you really appreciate or really don't give a damn about...but a great idea nonethless.

In Europe and in my country all passengers including rear sear passengers need to buckle-up or you get a fat ticket. Besides if someone in the rear seat doesn't buckle up in my car I yell at them because I don't want their head smashing into me in case of an accident.
