Mazda introduces new CX-5 ahead of Frankfurt debut
August 2, 2011
I agree the photo shows an ugly look. However, the look might be different in person. I still believe the LED "crappy" is a must. Mercedes, Audi, VW, Porsche, Lexus, Hundai, and Kia have them in some of their models now.

I've been waiting for this car for some time with the diesel in the US. I hope it has some set of LED in the front. Competition is getting tighter. Now, BMW will be offering even the X1 diesel version. I am having a second thought. The Porsche Cajun was in my mind for awhile, but now the d variant of BMW is really tempting. Just gotta see how far $ difference it gonna be. During my recent visit to Canada, BMW X1 and the Lexus hybrid hatchback seems to be running the show in the North suburb on ON.
Next-generation Mazda Miata could be lightest version ever

I don't get it. How much weight is a globebox and an user manual??? Might as well leave your wallet, your phone, your sunglass, and your shoes off when you get in the Miata. That's right!!! BS.

Google, or search, for "VW Audi Porsche roadster". Cajun is coming 2013. Q5 and Tiguan are already available. CX-5 is no where ready yet until next year. And yes, Z4 is a roadster. So is the Miata. The Miata is certainly the most well balance. But even Subary is coming out with something next year. Competition will be tight, and if Mazda still keep it play like that... might as well pack everything up and go sit in the bench. This ain't my type of play for fun when you get beat up by even newbies. Even Kia is coming in. Cheap was the Miata, or affordable was the plan. The valse ain't the same anymore. You wanna play cheap. Competitors are coming in. Cheap and affordable were not the motto for the Z4. That is why I've said that Miata hasn't been playing in the same category. But if you have to bring fast in, Z4 M shows you what business could really mean.

I forgot to mention too that VW/Audi/Porsche is coming down to play the fight with the Miata. If Mazda continues like this, it is bound to get off the ring sooner than you've thought. Of course, BMW Z4 M has been out for quite some time, and it seems that it might be in a different catergoy. But no more, VW is coming down and up with 3 steps. GET IT RIGHT, M@!
Mazda6 production to end in Michigan, heads back to Japan

Bah, Ford really has no use of Mazda anymore. Ford has its own Mazdaspeed6 on sale right now. It is called Taurus SHO with a TT 3.5L AWD. If you cannot afford it, you can get the Fusion 3.5L AWD. Ford is also getting the aesthetic design worked right. Look at the Fiesta and Focus. All of them have chrome. Side turning signal are now even on the side mirrors. And Kia even now has it too. LED in the back as well the front. I gotta say that competitors are closing real fast. I see no reason why Mazda is so lethargic. I understand that it is a small company. But all the little extra, I can get it from the aftermarket and do the job myself RIGHT in the first place. As far as I like Mazda, I stay with the winner. It means that I would defect if needed with whoever got the best offer. So yes, the Mazda was obsolete when it first came out. It could have done better with the look and the engine. Most are using efficiently a 3.5L, but Mazda got a 3.7L. Both 2.5L and 3.7L are not that efficient in hp nor mpg.

In all 5 cars that I have possessed, the User Manual has never stayed inside the car. The only time that I use a manual is the one that you actually buy it to do your own repair. Now in term of the weight of the Mazda, if it is really possible to be around 2000 lbs, I would buy one right away. I doubt the source is really reliable. A Smart Fortwo in the US weights about 2300 lbs. I know for a fact that Mazda has to work harder in the hp and mpg. Mini Cooper S does 208hp with 25/33 mpg with 2600 lbs, and it has all the goodies.

I read this article since last month, but I didn't bother to respond. Well, I have been waiting for this baby to come out for some time now. Just bring it... with the correction option (i.e. SkyActiv engine). I have also been waiting for Mazda to bring a dual clutch or CVT engine. I see that Mazda has been smart in the design of its new auto transmission. And I hope that it is there when it is supposed to be there. But I have been disappointed before from Mazda5, CX-7 to CX-9. Trust me! I was there all the time. I waited for the Mazda5 when I heard the announcement from Mazda of its future release in the US. The actual result is a no go. Did not buy it! I saw the CX-7 in the autoshow. I went to Mazda driving event, and even bothered to filled survey before CX-7 was in the market. Final result was again a disappointment. I was there at the dealer the first day the CX-9 came out. Test drove it. Looked at the price with all the option. And I fled away like there was a Hiroshima bomb behind me when I saw the price with all the options.
Subaru Tribeca & Mazda6 axed - report
May 11, 2011
LOL. It took them some time to figure this sh*t out!?! That's a big bummer. I have never like the 6 either the previous or the current generation. I have given a chance for Mazda to make the 6 what it should look like, but Mazda has really failed me in the regular car department, except Mazda3/Axela. It doesn't matter if it is either Mazda5, CX-7 or CX-9. Like one of you mentioned it, the Mazda6 is not "man" enough to be what it want to be. The front still look like a revamped old generation Mazda3. Not much chrome or anything, maybe some political deal with Ford BS. I wanted a Mazda5, but the 4+2 config is a bummer. The new 2012 rear style has gone a bit better. But besides that, Ford get to get 7 seat configuration. Political BS sh*t again. The CX-7 is too much of a gas guzzler. And the interior quality is well below standard compared to a Mazda3 because of the interior size. Craftmanship design cannot be the same in big and small size. It's not like a T-shirt. CX-9 might be one of the best handler in its class, but price hits the luxo area. Might as well get a Subaru instead. The RX-8 was pretty much a joke. The Mazdaspeed3 is just more practical. And let's just hope that if an RX-7 (or RX-9: I say whatever) comes out, it won't be the same sh*t. Now, I am anticipating big in the CX-5. But after seeing how WELL Mazda has been doing lately. I cannot really bet much on it. Might as well axe it, and go for a Porsche Cajun, an Audi Q3, or wait for Subaru to bring a hybrid Impreza instead.
