Porsche mulling high-performance all-electric models Finally! I was wondering why no other car manufacturer ever already had the idea of coupling an electric engine with a gearbox! This would definitely increase the driving pleasure while solving problems of limited top speed of actual electric cars. Way to go Porsche, but don't get rid of the flat 6...just add an electric variant!

BMW considering fuel cell hybrid technology for 2014 Very interesting but way too complicated! How complex and expensive is this technology? And what about filling two tanks (fuel and hydrogen) ?? Not for me thank you. Give me a hydrogen powered inline six engine instead.

They will remain in the future as the technology improves but they will be used mainly on the sport/luxury/muscle car market. This market has a large number of enthusiasts and is a drop of water into the ocean (so the incidence of these cars on the global fleet emissions is very low).

Lamborghini hybrid due in 2015 Let's not forget that non-hybrid versions should still be available in the future. They didn't say they will exclusively offer hybrid Gallardos in 2015...my guess is that internal combustion engine will continue to evolve and will receive new clean fuels such as second generation biofuels, hydrogen or natural gas. Many car manufacturers would lose their soul if they convert their cars into full electric vehicles. Long live to V10 roar...
