If I remember, that crappy saturn sky or whatever was badged as an Opel GT some years ago in Europe. Ahhh.. and guess what: it sold ZERO. and had an opel Engine. For instance, Diesel engines that Opel uses were developed with Fiat to save costs. Opel couldn't find one brand inside their group to help them with that. Was it any good belonging to GM in that moment? No. And now Fiat has joined Chrysler and Opel belongs to GM. I expect problems, now. I don't know. And Opel selling the Ampera... Taht's because america is a continent, not a country) carmakers aren't very much into new technologies. My personal opinion is that opel only looses with their integration in gm. That's because they develop technologies and platfoms and then gm's other brands use them. FACT. If GM made all their brands go bankrupt, they could at least try to sell opel. Hey, wait. They shouldn't... otherwise, opel insignias's platform would't be the new platform to almost all new cars in gm's catalog. MORE: what about the engines... interiors, plastics. get a grip, US.
