2012 Toyota Avensis facelift unveiled

Hey Nelly, you and I are on the same page, lol. I'm in a dealer in NY. The new Camry and the tC are really nice. I can't wait, especially for the FR-S/FT-86

again another assumption based on personal opinion. I see this a lot. But if you've never driven a Toyota, you will never know. I do recommend the 2011/2012 Scion tC, it is on the same platform as the Avensis. If not a 2door fan, how about the new 2012 Camry, ESPECIALLY the SE. Really nice, for a sedan! Don't take my word for it. Drive one. If you won't, then that's just closed minded, don't ya think?

Personally I like the Avensis redesign. i would like to see it here, in the US, as the next Corolla. Slap a ground effects kit, spoiler, sporier rims and a different grill, slightly lower it and make it an S. lol. However, imo, you greatly underestimate Toyota. But you are entitled to your opinion. I always reserve my feelings about any car until I sit in one and test drive it properly. If, at all, the Toyota Interiors ARE NOT a confused mess. They're a lot simpler in design than any other manufacturer, and easy to use. Not to mention, if the 2012 Camry is any proof of things to come, Toyota's game has just lept so far a head that everyone else will be strugling to catch up.
Volkswagen confirms a five-door up! for 2012
October 3, 2011
interesting. VW does make a fine handling car. However I would never want to own one long term. Anyhoo...If VW does move to a 5 door design, it will most likely become B-seg. Either that, or the doors on both side will open barnyard style (traditional with suicide design) So techinically the size of the standard door, but technically a 5 door design. However Ihighly doubt that.

I know these forums are open to opinions, but it's really sad and misleading to some people. When someof those who comment would never even consider a specific type of car, that they will $#!t on it. I don't mean just here, but on other cars, and articles. At least some constructive criticism. just sayin....

Um...there was never any problems with the Prius. There really wasn't wany problems with any of the Toyotas. Not saying there was some crazy conspiracy, however I do believe that when a situatioin occured, certain persons wanted to capitalize on the situation. afterall..."Toyota you have recalls, pay fine $16,000,000." 6 months later... "Toyota you have no problems, sorry we still keep your money."
Scion tC Release Series 7.0 announced for U.S. [video]

don't judge a book by it's cover. Although I'm not a big yellow fan, I like the over all look. one thing's for sure. it does NOT look like a corolla. But the upper grill does look like the old school toyota's from the 90's. And nowhere does it even try to impersonate a Koup...eww. Have you driven both vehicles? lol lemme tell you the Koupe SX, even though it has 173 hp, still doesn't have the pick up or handling compared to MY 2005 tC, when it was stock. It's accelerator is very unresponsive. And the materials feel sooooo cheap. I do like the overall look of the Koup, too. Just not a fan of the rims. The new 2011/2012 tC handles a lot better, and pick up is even greater than before. the tC feels more solidly planted than the Koup. I do wish Scion id more with the styling, but the look is still nice, where it's the same yet different than the previous 1st gen style. Personally, what I find disappointing, is the Honda Civic. the "whole new redesign" isn't all that new. And they STILL haven't upgraded or evolved their platforms. sad really.
Lexus CT 200h Officially Released
September 16, 2010
I'm surprised. So many people like to bash, touting their opinions on aesthetics as a be all end all. The reality. Matrix body and platform, Prius Hybrid system, Upscaled to meet Lexus luxury. And a smaller compact hatch, compared to a Venza or RX400. This will be very popular. When you compare this more recent "Matrix" design to, say, the Mazda 3 or a Jetta Rabbit. The Toyota/Lexus design is metter looking, IMO.
