All-New 2012 Ford Taurus Interceptor Police Car Revealed The real problem with this car is the frame. The Crown Vic was a body on frame construction. If the car was in an accident the frame could be straightend for minimal cost. This is a unibody. When (not if) the car gets into an accident it might be cheaper to buy a new one. Will this car be able to handle the increased abuse? Also the Crown Vic was used as a taxi. Will Ford make a version for the livery service or will they only sell teh Transit Connect for Taxi service.

2010 Chevrolet Suburban 75th Anniversary Diamond Edition Debut in Chicago Everyone who thinks this is the vehicle that is killing GM or that this is why GM failed you're ignorant. This vehicle is more practicle than a minivan in the winter (4x4) and for larger families (more than 4 people) that need to tow anything. This is more show than go for me but at least it's not a compromise of a vehicle like the BMW X6 (ugly, cramped, expensive). When will all of you non-Americans shut up about our larger cars. We have the roads that can accept these cars. I make no apology for not driving a 4 cylinder diesel shoebox. Make all the excuses you want, if your country had cheaper gas, and more, wider roads you'd be driving these vehicles too.

Toyota pedal supplier has fix for recall fiasco The problem isn't the supplier. They build parts to a specificication, and then ship the parts to Toyota who is then responsible for retesting the part. ALl companies have recalls and the problem is that this effected 8 models and Toyota took so long to react after the fault was pointed out. If you read the brake article (for the Prius) you can see the "cover up" mentality of the company (all companies). They know there's a problem that they have fixed in production of the cars yet haven't decided what to do for the thousands of cars on the road. That's pure negligence. If you know of a problem, have the fix and still do nothing. That's a corporate mindset problem. They are still great yet boring cars but the company has some problems.

BREAKING: GM Reaches Agreement to Sell Saab to Spyker Yeah great! Everyone here is saying this is great news. For who? How many of you own a SAAB or will own one? They have one new model coming out the 9-5 (GM design and tech) and nothing else. Spyker has a long road in front of them and how long will they be able to handle the bleed of money that will be needed to "save" SAAB? All the cheering for the new 9-5 and GM bashing is crazy, it's a GM with a SAAB grill. Good luck Spyker, SAAB wasn't successful before GM or during GM so let's see if they can be after GM.

America Needs to be Educated About Diesel Power A BMW X5d costs about $3,500 more than a gas X5. Where I live in NY diesel is available at one station within 50 miles and about $0.40 more than premium gas. It would take almost 4-5 years to recoup the cost of the diesel. Also where I live it's routinely below freezing during the winter. Terrible for diesels. Most people I know with diesels almost never shut them off when they go anywhere also negating fuel savings. I haven't done all the math but it really is about break even, over the life of the vehicle, until you add in the increased maintenance. Once they lower the taxes on diesel it would be better.

Venezuela's Chavez Threatens to Expel Toyota If Toyota (or any other car manufacturer) were to leave, Chavez will confiscate all of their factory equipment allowing him to build Toyotas. He will have all the factory jigs, stampings, etc... I'm not saying it;s right but pulling out late at night right before a massive fire/explosion might be the way out.

Ford, Geely Agree on Volvo sale terms rogers, the swedish carmakers destroyed themselves. The weren't in a strong enough financial position (ever) to avoid being taken over by the Americans. Ford did better with Volvo than GM and Saab but neither Swede was ever a world player (before or after the Americans). At least this will keep the Volvo name around.
