KTM E3W EV concept unveiled
August 13, 2011
What if I want to drive this in the snowy Norwegian winter? I'm not sure a single wheel drive could do this.

Thanks for the article WCF but there are some irrelevant pics of a Mazda 3.

The Merc is probably a good racing car but it loses all of its appeal, style and class when they put it in some stupid livery and when they bolt this ridiculous wing on top of the trunk! Not arguing about the speed though, it's just the looks...
Automakers support new U.S. fuel economy target of 54.5 mpg - except VW

I believe it is actually the other way as the US government is trying to stimulate the production of the vehicles that only local companies make and that are almost impossible to export in Europe and Asia. In a way these requirements favor the local US car industry.
Top Gear does the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Ferrari 458 Italia comparison

Looks like the McLaren is built for a much broader public. Therefore even if you're not a track day master you can still have enough fun combined with a comfortable ride - smart! The Ferrari is a phenomenal car BUT few people would be capable of really pushing it hard enough and feel its soul.
2012 Audi S7 spied undisguised

It's the first time I'm saying this about an Audi, but it's simply beautiful from every angle. I see people arguing about the rear but I think it was inspired by some classic Audi models like the 1974 100 Coupe: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3390/3240771763_c21bb8ccff.jpg
2012 BMW 1-Series first official photos and details leaked

It isn't just ugly. The whole front of the car is wrong! They have designed some really strange surfaces and it looks as if initially they had a general shape for the whole thing on which they had to scratch the details but it proved to be too difficult of a task...
Volvo announces Flywheel KERS system [video]

The question that bothers me is whether there is enough kinetic energy to be stored from the deceleration of an ordinary road car? And the other thing is - they say that the engine could be "deactivated" during deceleration but then isn't the car going to lose the brake pressure (most importantly), so how do they plan to make complete stops with no brakes (not an emergency one but just a controlled slow down)? Consider that you can "extract" that energy only if there is enough g-force, so it won't work every time you just step off the throttle. Maybe it's a problem of my understanding, or maybe we still need some of those technical details that would make the idea a little more trust worthy.
