2008 Toyota Land Cruiser: In Detail My 2000 Land Cruiser was NOT reliable and extremely expensive to maintain and to fix. Both exhaust manifolds broke at the flange (the dealer said the engine had to come out to fix it!). The A/C lines rotted or burst and leaked all of their fluid ($790). Front wheel bearings howling ($400). Plastic pieces throughout the cabin squeaked, distorted, and/or popped out of place. Transfer case leaking. Random noises inside the dashboard. Leaking tailgate window and the ensuing tailgate rust. All this by 86k miles. Reports of starter contacts going bad requiring half the engine to be dissasembled was the last straw. Never again, Toyota!
