Redesigned 2009 Ford Focus Coupe Revealed This looks like an American car...from the 80's. I sort of like like it in a nostalgic 87 Camaro Iroc z28 sort of way. I'm happy they ditched those fake chrome side vents! Whenever I see someone with a Focus that has those craptacular chrome side vents I question their intelligence. This is a step up from a year ago. I find it interesting that Ford is an American company and everyone is yelling for the Euro versions of their vehicles. You would think they would give us the good stuff and make the 'peans beg for what we got.

2009 Detroit Auto Show loses Ferrari, Rolls-Royce and Land Rover Ummm...I love NAIAS. It would be a shame to see it go. Although I understand that auto companies pay a small fortune to attend these events and Detroit has very little to offer regarding sales, unless you are one of the big three. The main attraction and the reason I love Detroit, is urban decay. I love walking the area around COBO, empty buildings, homeless people, the train is nice, and if you are in town when there is a game, the Red Wing fans are drunk and crazy-like most hockey fans. The coffee shop and bar around the street from COBO are seedy and fun. The convention center is actually a really good venue for an auto show. Take caution: the auto show used to be the place where gangs would go to fight. Police presence is everywhere now and it is safe, but don't stay too late.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox Sheds Last Pieces of Camouflage for Spies I rented the previous model Equinox out in Cali. It was the scariest SUV I've ever driven. I had to jam the brakes hard when going into gradual turns on the highway due to the fact that it felt like the vehicle was going to flip. I felt very unsteady in the fastlane. Hopefully they've addressed this issue. Probably not.
