Ecclestone says F1 owner CVC supports him I can't wait until this man keels over... Maybe then, the fans can have their sport back!

Rumour - Turkey to be dropped from 2010 calendar You know, I've flown over to Istanbul twice to see the Turkish GP (2007+2008)... Once before Ecclestone bought the track, and once after... First off; Bernie Ecclestone is a freakin jackass! Everything the man does is basically a slap in the face to the fans... When I went in 2007 the Turkish GP was awesome! It was my first F1 race, and I couldn't have been happier about the experience... Everything was reasonably priced, and from what I saw, everyone there had a great time. The next year, after Ecclestone had gotten his filthy paws on the track, everything changed... First off, everything became less accessible to the average fan. All the ticket prices skyrocketed, along with concessions. To top it off, they cut out a lot of room for bus parking close to the track, because they used the closest parking lot for helicopter parking. I didn't even bother going this year, because I was so disgusted. Don't get me wrong, I know these F1 tickets are not cheep, but the whole sport needs to be more realistic! What sense does it make to alienate blue collar fans? We're the ones who buy everything! Case and point; bronze and silver level seating at Istanbul Park was filled the first couple years... The prices were reasonable enough that normal people could afford to treat themselves, and upgrade from general admission passes... Once "Old Gray Top Ecclestone" got into town, he gouged prices, and those people went back to general passes... The year after that, general admission was almost as much as what they'd previously paid for bronze level! So basically, BLAME BERNIE! He snatched up an absolutely beautiful track, and ruined it... Because he's greedy... The guy basically has $5 billion dollars, and he's only concerned with the people buying Paddock passes, and robbing the common folk blind! Maybe it's his retarded looking glasses that keep him from seeing how he's destroying F1...
