Briatore still guilty of race-fixing - Todt
February 10, 2010
Clearly Flav was, and still is guilty of fixing the race. He wasnt cleared of committing the offence, merely let off on a technicality. I am only surprised that Alonso managed to escape completely unscathed from the whole affair - as if he didn't know what was going on. Of course he now drives for Todt's former team Ferrari and so will remain untouched by it all. Flav is a crook, Alonso is too. FACT!

Anyone else see the striking resemblance between this and the new GM Meriva? Particularly in the window line and those suicide doors. And I thought VW had taken over Suzuki not GM Europe!

Button celebrated title alone in hotel

Congratulations to Jenson and to Brawn - well deserved, despite what some fools might say (see above) At the end of the season he was the best driver - no one else even came close. It is a very well deserved title for one of the most popular men in F1. Winning always takes a degree of luck and there is no doubt he rode his luck towards the end of the season but when the record books are written his name will be up there with the best of them. A true racer and a fine driver in the mould of Professor Alain Prost.
Sock it to em JB!
Massa says Alonso's Singapore win was title 'robbery'
October 2, 2009
Also, if Alomso's win was scratched from the records and all other drivers promoted accordingly Hamilton would have won the title by a clearer margin. Poor Felipe, maths was never his strongest suit!
Mind you, it looks like the new Ferrari team orders will be interesting next season. Remember how harmonious the proven cheat Alonso was with Lewis at McLaren?
Alonso could earn 150m euros at Ferrari

He is still a cheat, whoever he drives for.
Let's look at the evidence. At McLraen he stitched up the team including Ron Dennis, Mercedes, sponsors and his own team mate (did he ever apologise for those blacked up fans of his and their racist views?) Despite being complicit in the spy-gate drama he escaped scot free.
Let's move on to Singapore 2008. He was 88 seconds down on the leader within the first 10 laps yet miraculously managed to steal a victory - and steal it he did yet we are asked to believe he knew nothing at all about the team plan to gift him that win. It may have been cooked up by Briatore but he is Alonso's manager let's not forget and I don't see how he would not know anything about it.
His punishment for that? Nothing at all - they didn't even take the points or prize money off him despite the worst case of sporting cheating in living memory.
Who cares where he drives next year. He is still a cheat.
F1 world lashes out at crash-gate leniency

Without doubt the corruption and culture of greed comes from the top. How could Bernie be given the commercial rights to F1 for A HUNDRED YEARS? For him then to sell those rights to the highest bidder stinks. It's rotten to the core, no doubt about that.
The first steps to getting the sport back, our sport back, is to get rid of those 2 corrupt old men from the top of the sport. Only then do we have any chance of starting to rebuild the shattered reputation of F1
F1 world lashes out at crash-gate leniency
September 23, 2009
By far the most shocking part of this scandal is the way that Alonso seems to have escaped completely scot free. In a sport where fractions of a second can mean thie difference between pole position and 10th on the grid, the charmless Alonso found himself at one stage 88 seconds behind the leader within the first 12 laps of the race. There is absolutely no way on earth that he would not have questioned this strategy with HIS MANAGER Briastore or been aware of, or even part of this diabolical breech of sporting etiquette.
After the witch hunt carried out against McLaren last season, the penalties handed down to Renault and Alonso make a complete mockery the sport. F1 is in complete meltdown and rulings like this will only drive TV viewers away. I have been a fan of the sport my entire life yet even I am now questioning whether I need such a corrupt and crooked spectacle in my life any more.

Absolutely agree with you. In a sport where thousandths of a second can be crucial, Alonso was at one stage 88 seconds behind the leader of the race. There is no way on earth that he didn't question what was going on or have some knowledge of the plot to cheat.
Once again he seems to have escaped scot free after his alleged involvement in the earlier Mclaren 'spygate' row where he also amazingly escaped any kind of punishment.
Let's be honest, the whole sport is in a massive mess. The only real way to draw a line and move on is to remove the other 2 corrput old men from the sport - Eccliestone and Moseley and their culture of greed.
