Over the years we have seen fewer and fewer people ordering the classical 'double H-GATE' shift pattern manual transmission for their supercars. But has it become an anachronism? Surely people are still willing to 'shift gears' themselves in the form of an automated manual 'tranny' while enjoying the sexual connotations often times alluded to of changing gears? Have we grown 'fat & lazy' and now want the car to do all the work? It will be interesting to see what the next few years crystallise.... BMW Individual 7 Series Composition The BMW Individual 'Steinway' Composition for some reason seems to make sense. For BMW did give us, the buying public, 'Piano Black' trim back in 2003 along with Platinum leather in the 7-Series Individual - 'Platinum Edition'. Hulkenberg out, Maldonado in for 2011 - report F1 has at various times during its long and illustrious history 'introduced' a driver who can only be described as 'mesmeric'. Examples abound. Such a driver 'grips' the whole team and elevates its performance to an unseen level and you then have championships or said driver moving to a team that can 'deliver' championships. 'Team Williams' needs such a 'mesmerising' driver to take it back up...or it will find itself 'bumping along the bottom'... We cant afford that from Frank and Patrick. isaacu
