Volkswagen developing Golf and Jetta Alltracks - report
May 26, 2012
ok, the Golf I get (although I find the whole idea silly to begin with) since its either a hatch or estate, but a Jetta?? Seems like VW wants to revive the Subaru Outback sedans of yore. So many gender bending cars these days... 4 door coupes, SUV sedans. I'm all for progress and diversity but its getting carried away now

It does admittedly look better, and more distinctive than the cookie-cutter Audi A8. Still can't touch an S Class or Jaguar XJ for supreme comfort or eye catching design, respectively

the tail lights also suggest it is the non-US model... those have a different cluster design with the indicators/reverse lights sitting in the middle of the cluster, as opposed to the top
Peugeot announces new international naming strategy
May 26, 2012
sounds like a decent strategy, although its beyond me why this isn't a 201 instead of a 301, because it's clearly based on a 208, not the bigger 308. And I think the strategy is more along the lines of Dacia/Renault than Citroen and DS. It's obvious the "8" badged cars will still not be in the league of the DS range

the only scrappy thing here is your vision... its's clearly a footrest, accelerator and brake pedal. You have to be pretty obnoxious to think a manufacturer as large as Peugeot will put 3 pedals on an automatic. Even VAZ Lada wouldn't do that
2013 Mercedes S-Class spied with less camouflage

come on, anyone who knows Mercedes grills know that although some have vertical pieces, its only the horizontal slats that are highlighted with chrome, ie. it will bare zero resemblance the the Cadillac's
Peugeot 301 compact sedan officially previewed

I think you got this wrong from the get go... this car has no relation to the 308. It's essentially a 208 with a boot, for markets that don't really fancy hatches. So if you do want to see the hatchback version, look no further than the already released 208 HB
2014 Nissan Qashqai to be more upscale, fuel-efficient - report
May 17, 2012
well technically torque refers to the "pull" factor, so having the equivalent of a 2 litre engine on tap, but without the commensurate weight, means it should have decent performance. Top speed is what might suffer as a result of only having 114hp, but I'm sure it'll crack 180km/h (112mph) which is the only figure the JDM will be concerned about. With the right gearing, I think it could realistically reach as much as 125mph

go over to netcarshow dot com and look at the hi res pics there. This car is absolutely stunning, and this coming from a guy who loathes big, wollowie American cars. The design wear its girth beautifully. And speaking of design, I'm seeing references to Aston Martin, Zagato, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar to name a few, but it all works. I can't wait to see it in the metal, and the interior too... the centre stack buttons, including the gear selector, looks cool
Suzuki gives UK a Swift Attitude
March 31, 2012
couldn't agree more and it's beyond me why it's taking so long. Suzuki already had a supercharger kit for the previous model in the JDM which bumped the power up to around what you suggested. The only reason I can think of why they havent released it worldwide is perhaps it greatly, and negatively, impacts on emissions and fuel efficiency. I hope that's the case otherwise it's the dumbest business move of recent memory
