Obama administration sets 35.5-mpg standard for 2016

I think the European automakers are in advance, for expample the Seat Ibiza Ecomotive achieves 81.11 MPG.. http://www.worldcarfans.com/9090504.010/seat-ibiza-ecomotive-sets-a-world-fuel-saving-record-of-29-l100-km The Seat Leon Ecomotive achieves 62 MPG http://www.worldcarfans.com/9090303.020/seat-present-leon-ecomotive-concept-in-geneva I pry if there is any chance that Seat, Skoda and some other Europan brands will be available in the US in future, especially Seat could be successful in sales because of the hispanic people...
Audi R8 V12 TDI Production Model Development Halted

I think the R8 TDI would be a step into the right direction because other cars in the league consume about 18-30 l/100km - the R8 TDI is about 10-12 l/100km. Also it would be unique - why don?t buy the only diesel supersports car in the world. Maybe the R8 TDI could be a V10 because the actual Lemans race car R15 is a V10...

It seems that most guys here are from the US.. So I live in Germany and almost the half of all cars are diesels. Every outside salesman drives a diesel because it?s quiet, very powerful and very efficient. That a diesel is noisy - it?s a tale from the past (GM diesels from the 70?s). Have you ever driven a modern european diesel? It?s much more quiet than a powerful petrol engine as you can see on youtube if you search for "R10 TDI sound". For US-drivers, the diesel is much better than any asian hybrid: I drive an Seat Ibiza TDI with a 110hp Audi-engine and the consumption is: Highway 50mph - 98 mpg, 75mph - 85mpg, 110mph - 34mpg, 130mph - 23mpg City 40mpg Even if you can believe it, these are true and realistic values..
Mercedes BlueTEC SUVs Coming to Europe Following Success in America

In Europe, we don?t care about hybrids because it?s only economical in the city with stop-and-go traffic. For US-customers, the diesel is much better and much more economical: http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2007/01/26/035157.html So if you are going on the highway, the electric motor won?t work and the petrol engine has to carry heavy batteries with it. These are the values of my diesel (2000er Seat Ibiza TDI with a 110hp Audi-engine): Highway (constant speed) 50mph - 98 mpg, 75mph - 85mpg, 110mph - 34mpg, 130mph - 23mpg City 40mpg Even if you can believe it, these are true and realistic values..

Also I can overtake every Prius in 5th gear within a few seconds - hybrids are slow and heavy.
