Here in South America we usually get discontinued models from the developed world. The Chevy Cruze is coming to Brazil as a replacement for the Vectra (that is actually an old gen Astra hatchback with a stretched wheelbase and a jurassic 2 liter engine). And the Cruze is going to cost at least US$ 40k... Bad place if you like cars... :/

He was talking about the truck's price in Brazil, not Chile. As someone mentioned, in Brazil the taxes are extreme, so the cars cost a lot around here. For example: Honda Civic 1.8L costs around US$ 40.000 here.
