wrong information, the most expensive car ever sold was the Bugatti Royale for 10,000,000 Pounds (!) at auction in the UK in 1992.

as a current CLK owner i have to say WHY: no rear folding headrests (despite cool porsche 911 style rear seats), no rear armrest (?????????) weird ugly dash and interior door trims and worlds ugliest taillights. but still very buyable if it is priced and spec'd right. Also anybody notice the rear wheel arches are exactly the same as a bentley continental GT (no bad thing!). As for the C pillar extra window well thats just rediculous... couldnt they engineer something better

everyone seems to miss the point on this car. you have to look at who buys this car. rich and famous. they probabaly have 10 supercars at home in the garage and a rolls royce drop head already, but they just want something nice and comfortable and conservative to be chauffered to work in... this car is ideal. If you drive a rolls royce out in most cities in the world, you will get spat on. With this car you can be an inconspciuous billionair.
