BMW i8 will get a petrol instead of diesel engine Dropping diesel for petrol is a very sensible move on BMW's part. Diesel engines are environmentally unfriendly, because, even with the best filters, they emit extremely harmful nano particles that can cause cancer, retard brain growth, and breathing problems. Having a diesel engine was always a backwards move ... and with this cars superb hybrid efficiency, the consumption of petrol/diesel is so low that any fuel efficiency that diesel might have over petrol becomes frankly irrelevant.

Rendered Speculation: 2010 BMW Z4 Coupe The front looks shmick! Anyone notice that there are no bonnet lines shown?? So how would that baby pop? Does the artist rendering suggest that the entire bonnet and side panels (all the way down to the 'side BWM logo') all lift upwardsas a single entity ... perhaps popping up from the windscreen-wiper side of the bonnet, rather than from the front nose (current generation Z4). That would be quite novel. P.S. Artist added an M3 bulge to the bonnet. Wonder why - lol!
