BMW 3-series LWB world debut in Beijing confirmed
April 5, 2012
I initially did not like this LWB version at all. But after looking at the pictures, I have changed my mind. This is a very thoroughly engineered car. The rear seats are powered and can be adjusted to suit the passenger. The dashboard has some new wood appliqu?s. The profile of the car has not suffered a great deal because of the longer rear doors.
I think this car shows how serious BMW is treating the China market.

Mercedes 300 SL replica destroyed for copyright infringement
March 21, 2012
I am actually aware of at least TWO SL or SL-derivative replica projects being done at an no expense spared basis. These are projects undertaken by top coachbuilders (one of whom has done work for Daimler A.G.) and I was told they got copies of the blueprint directly from Mercedes Benz Oldtimers to aid their work. They will be stunning replicas of the original and will be in the hands of private collectors.
What Mercedes Benz has done this time is a little strange. I am not sure of the circumstances surrounding this case. But Mercedes Benz must be irate enough to order the destruction of this replica. Maybe the people behind this project want to make money from this replica.
2013 Aston Martin DB9 spied for the first time

The interior will retain its existing architecture but with bits and pieces from the One-77 like the steering wheel rim, some switches, and air-con vents.
2012 Mercedes Benz SLK AMG spied with less camo
May 27, 2011
If you believe the results of the Sport Auto test of the SLK350, the new SLK failed to improve its dynamics over its predecessor. How Mercedes fuxked it up, I have no idea. The tester noted the (already revised) transmission is a bit slow-witted and ESP was very intrusive and its slalom performance was worse than the previous SLK. For those who hoped the SLK350 or a SLK55 can hang on to the tail-lights of a Porsche Boxster or BMW Z4, FORGET IT!
It's pretty pathetic of Mercedes and Michael Scheer (the SLK project manager) if you ask me!
Chevrolet ramping up for 2014 Corvette production
May 5, 2011
It should be easy to ramp up production of these Corvettes. They all have cardboard interiors and all the investments required are more scissors and glue.

Nice, except that it is illegal to drive without secure footwear in most countries.
BMW workers in Munich caught stealing parts
November 30, 2010
The quality of my old E36 325i was so bad that I'd pay these guys to smuggle the car back into the BMW factory. I think mine was one of those exceptions where everything went wrong.
Reports still hint at 'rolling heads' at Ferrari
November 25, 2010
Ferrari must drop the finger-pointing blame shifting culture and get on with the job. I think Domenicali, Costa, Dyer are all top operators and there are not many who can take their place. I think continuity is the key and they will become stronger. Roll on 2011!!!!!
Honda developing new NSX, again - report
November 24, 2010
The world does not need another front-engined V8 Corvette. Either give us a REAL NSX or just stick with the Civics and Jazzes.
