OFFICIAL: New VW Golf GTI Concept First Details Oh no, no, noooo... what have they done? They've gone back to having very little difference between the basic Golf and the GTI, like in the old days. The MK-V could be spotted from miles away. Also, this new tartan material looks really ugly and cheap, the previous one was much more classy (if tartan can ever be classy). NOw it looks tacky like the Polo GTI. I like that the body is now in one color, without those black spoilers, but everything else is a massive step backwards. Hopefully it will be very short lived and the MK-VII will bury this misfire forever.
