New Audi Logo Debuts at Frankfurt Motor Show
September 2, 2009
When I first saw the article I thought it was a major redesign. Glad to see it was just a refresh of the same 'rings'
They have a great logo - the 4 metallic rings signifies strength and security. Iconic
Audi S5 Sportback First Photo Released - Three Debuts in Frankfurt
August 28, 2009
A bit uninspiring to be honest - could have added some 'different', interesting styling cues to mark it apart from the A5 2-door layout instead of just adding 2 more doors.
Audi A5 Sportback Caught Completely Undisguised at Photo Shoot

Why would anyone go for an A6 now? Its probably sportier than one, cheaper with 480 litres of luggage space. Ok you may sacrifice about an inch of legroom but still
I sense cannibalism, unless the rear headroom is dire
BMW X6 M & X5 M Officially Revealed
April 7, 2009
Such controversy on this website!
Perhaps I should tell you all that these comments being written here are simply spreading the word of the X5/X6 M, and creating interest. You are doing BMW's job for them.
I'm sure they are thankful. :)
BMW X6 M Leaks Ahead of New York Debut
April 4, 2009
no no! Im saying BMW have never made an unaccomplished car in terms of road dynamics, BUT they have made cars that aren't to everybody's taste in terms of styling.
I just saying that we should have more trust in bmw, ungainly styling does not mean it will be poor to drive. E.g. M6 or X6M
Many other marques make good looking "sports cars" that have crappy dynamics.. Sorry for the confusion..
BMW X6 M Leaks Ahead of New York Debut

lol, just be grateful they didnt put a line of LEDs inside the vents!
There have been ugly M's, for example I still dont like the M6 very much, but never an underperforming M.
I'd rather have an ugly M, than an unaccomplished one. Hopefully, this handles and goes well.
Pictures dont really do BMW's a lot of justice in the past anyway!

Did anyone care to think that the reason the front intakes are so large is for cooling purposes?
I can see massive radiators through the holes, so perhaps it needs that exaggerated front spoiler.
FUNCTION over FORM
that is the //M way
Porsche Test Driver Dies Testing Pre-Production 911
February 13, 2009
It seems the test driver has lost his life in order to save many. If this is a design flaw with the vehicle, then God knows how many accidents there could have been had it gone unnoticed.
I'm sure Porsche will go back to the drawing board with the engineers to make sure this never happens again.
R.I.P
Audi A4 Outsells BMW 3-Series in Germany
January 20, 2009
Well, thank you :D
A point I should make is that when I did my first few laps around the track, the TT did seem more capable than the 325i. The fact I had 4wd under me inspired more confidence in my driving, coupled with the DSG (opposed to manual tran on the 325i), it seemed I could concentrate more on my driving.
It was on my final set of laps that I got the hang of how to properly drive the BMW manual transmission on a track, after which it became a 2nd nature to me thus alowing me to take more risks on corners. The major difference between the cars was the ability to change direction quickly in the 3 series, especially on the twisty bits of the 'Ring.
The speed I would go into a corner with the BMW I found could not be matched in the Audi. When I attempted a similar entry speed in the TT i had to turn the wheel a lot more to achieve the same angle of turn, by which time the 4wd system would send 60% to the rear (albeit too slowly) however losing speed in the process. This coupled to over 100 corners results in the surprising, yet inevitable lap times.
Secretly I love the TT, the design is undoubtedly well proportioned. To me it exudes true german class and efficiency.
But although it is a big step from the Mk.1 TT in terms of performance and handling, it still has a way to go to compete with the likes of a 3 series. I know that sounds very brash and naive, but it is all from my own experience.
Note the TT's direct rival is actually the Z4, which I read is more of a drivers car than nearly all of BMW's range.
Phew! :)
