Chevrolet Volt battery gets eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty standard

The article clearly states, "The Chevrolet Volt is set to go into production later this year. The Volt will go on sale in the U.S. and Europe in 2011." It's only the year 2010.

When they made those claims they followed the current EPA test cycle guidelines at the time. If you follow the rules and complete all the different drive cycles as outlined the total mileage driven would be less than the 40 or so mile range this car has on battery power alone. In theory you could do this cycle every day go home and plug the car in and not use a drop of fuel ever. The testing untill now has never taken that into consideration. Now an isreali company wants there to be 3 numbers, one of which will tell the MPG of the car when the battery is fully drained and is using the gasoline engine to charge. So, really GM didn't tell any lies, they followed the guidelines, now they are just changing the rules.

You say be humble when he clearly insulted my country of origin completely unprovoked! What I said was simply a response to his uneducated rant. I don't speak any eastern European languages, but if I was to learn, and was about to post something on a public forum for everyone to see, I would definitely make sure my spelling and grammar was 100%. Also I would not have stooped so low as to insult his entire country because of a few not so bright citizens, which I'm sure they have and in the same ratio that we do. Stupidity is universal is all I'm trying to point out so try not to get your panties in a ruffle.

Not to mention improper grammar. It should be: all of these accidents "are" caused by. I'm not trying to be mean I just don't want you to embarass yourself in the future. I was going to try and correct all your mistakes but I think it would save us all a lot of time if you just go to school.

Why not just stupid drivers!! Just because they live here does not make them stupid. Are all the accidents by American citizens? Did you check their Id's? Furthermore what defines an American? People from all countries of the world live here so by generalizing you have just insulted the entire population of the world. How many generations must a family live here before they are considered 100% American? I met some British guy the other day who was talking all sorts of crap on Americans, and when I asked him, he had allready become a citizen.... How ironic. There are stupid people everywhere, and from the comments on this article it appears they are breeding very rapidly. You should have to take a test before you have children, if you fail.... your stupid, go into the next room where you will be sterilized. Furtheremore I also find it ironic that somebody who cannot spell can sit there and call anybody else stupid. use (uzs), uncontrollably (''uncontolibly''), and bubble (buble).
