If you follow the rules and complete all the different drive cycles as outlined the total mileage driven would be less than the 40 or so mile range this car has on battery power alone. In theory you could do this cycle every day go home and plug the car in and not use a drop of fuel ever. The testing untill now has never taken that into consideration. Now an isreali company wants there to be 3 numbers, one of which will tell the MPG of the car when the battery is fully drained and is using the gasoline engine to charge. So, really GM didn't tell any lies, they followed the guidelines, now they are just changing the rules.
