For ricers it was stickers that added horsepower. Now it seems chrome/black makes your wheels lighter or something, as it seems most concept cars and sports cars are using them. My guess is that there's a factory in China selling them in bulk... I think they're hideous, they all look the same and they do nothing to add character to modern cars, most of them which are already lacking character!

2012 Nissan GT-R shows-off its launch control [video] Just because the GTR is a relative bargain does not make it immune to critique. Criticizing the warranty issues and transmission failures is perfectly legitimate in any case. It's not about "hating", it's about realizing the simple economic fact that you get what you pay for. Having to pay $20k for a transmission rebuild because the manufacturer is incapable of offering launch control without the transmission exploding is NOT a testament of the "wonderful technological marvel of the GTR"! Having to wait four years after the car's release for the manufacturer to get the transmission in order is pathetic by any current automotive standards. It's no wonder people still prefer paying 60% more for a 911 Turbo that actually works!
