BMW 3-Series Facelift Spied!
September 27, 2007
It's time for BMW to give a nose job to the 3 series sedan.
For some reason, BMW designers indented the middle of the 3's nose, which is weird b/c you usually flex out the center of the car's nose to emphasize its power.
Also, there are weird character lines that fall vertically in the center of the car's front bumper, descending in a line from the outer edges of the vertical bars of the kidney grille.
These character lines resembe catfish whiskers, hardly a sporty image.
I hope BMW incorporates LED lighting in the taillights and headlights too.
Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 Spied

I applaud GM for amping up the Vette's already prodigious power.
It's likely that Porsche Turbos will outhandle the Vette but this Super Vette, whether it's a ZR-1 or Blue Devil or Z07, will tear the doors of the Porsche 911 0-60 MPH.
Torque beats turbos.
Porsche 911 Turbo Facelift Spied
September 22, 2007
The "Non-11" is too pricey and too old to excite enthusiasts.
At best, it's mere man-jewelry. I'm not knocking the power and performance. I am knocking the packaging and pricing.
Do Porsche designers just Xerox old 911 designs over and over? And how can they justify CHARGING for logo wheel caps, leather and floormats (and around 60-70 other options)?
Porsche Panamera Spied in Spain

Pudgy, pompous and pathetic. The spy photos can't hide this boat's big belly.
Porsche completely GAVE UP on vehicle design after the 1987 Stock Market crash, which nearly wiped them out as well. No more 944 or 928. Just crank out overpriced, hideously interiored 911s to the old fart crowd.
Well, the competition has caught up. Corvette Z06s overpower the 911 Turbo, Range Rover Sports outclass the Cayenne and the R8 out"looks" the 911.
Porsche's dinosaur styling combined with predatory price gouging will force their management to dial
"9-1-1"!
Lamborghini Reventon Revealed in Frankfurt
September 18, 2007
I'm not sure about the Reventon's name or styling. Lamborghini says "Reventon" was a fighting bull who slew the top bullfighter or Italy or was it Spain in 1943. Both fascist dictatorships at the time. Bread and circuses.
But on to the 'styling'. The hard edges and plasticky shapes resemble the godawful garbage driven by twentysomething Asian guys with spiked hair. You know what I'm talking about: primer gray Honda Civics and Acura Integras with buzzy coffee can exhaust pipes, biplane and triplane spoilers, chopped springs, mismatched wheels and ghastly "aerodynamic" doo dads.
Look at the Reventon's tail and tell me you don't see the brutish Batmobile from Batman Begins. I dare you.
I like that Lamborghini is offering a coachbuilt car but I think they went overboard on the styling.
Porsche 911 Turbo Facelift Spied

Wow, so Porsche has "boldly" restyled the Turbo's bumpers and tailights. So that's probably $15K right there.
Porsche has cynically gouged its lapdog apologist buyers into paying EXTRA for floormats, decent interior trim and logo wheel caps.
From an aesthetic perspective, the 911 is a dinosaur and the Audi R8 is the meteor.
E.L.E. Extinction Level Event.
If Audi launches a $60something R6, bye bye Porsche!
