February 11, 2012
Can we get M-B to offer their V-6 turbodiesel engine in the G series for the US market?

Very nice, but how about putting in the Veloster Turbo's 200 bhp engine to give it real sporting performance?
Chrysler 'It's Halftime in America' Super Bowl XLVI Commercial [video]

I actually interpreted the commercial differently. The message is simple: America has been through tough times before, and we will rise again.
OFFICIAL: Volkswagen Up! five-door revealed
January 24, 2012
If VW were to sell the Up! here in the USA, this would be the model they sell. Mind you, it would likely have a bigger engine (1.4 liter I-4?) and the seven-speed DSG automatic as an option to better suit American driver prefrences.
2013 Mercedes GLK to offer diesel engine in U.S. - report
January 20, 2012
Alas, that won't work because the size of that new turbodiesel engine might not fit the engine bay of the smaller A and B class models. :-( Now, putting this into the US-market C class sedan, that's a different story!

A slightly longer version of this new version of the Cee'd is probably the next-generation Kia Forte hatchback for the US market....
2013 Kia cee’d first photo released ahead of Geneva debut

It should be noted this may be a preview of the next-generation Kia Forte hatchback coming to the US market probably about a year from now.
2013 Honda Accord Coupe concept unveiled [video]
January 10, 2012
What I find interesting is that Honda _has_ decided to incorporate a CVT automatic with the new Accord powered by the new 181 bhp I-4 engine that uses "Earth Dreams Technology" on the US-market model. It should be noted that Honda is probably the second largest metal-belt CVT manufacturer in the world; only JATCO (which I belive is 80% owned by Nissan) makes more metal-belt CVT's, which explains why many Nissan models sold in the USA have CVT's for their automatics. The only reason why we don't see Honda-made CVT's on Honda cars is the fact many JDM Honda models come with the CVT as standard.
2013 Kia Forte design sketches leaked?
December 15, 2011
I'm not sure if this is a good idea, given it looks like a Hyundai Elantra with a Kia nose and tailights.
Toyota GT 86 officially revealed
November 28, 2011
It's well-known because the AE86 was a Corolla derivative known as the Corolla Levin in Japan and Corolla Sport in the USA, especially with the 4A-GE twin-cam engine. Mind you, Toyota wanted a lot for the Corolla Sport GT-S, and for just a little bit more you could get the AW11 (first generation) Toyota MR2, still considered by many one of the best sports cars of the 1980's.
