Mercedes builds last batch of SLRs - Stirling Moss editions
December 5, 2009
Aww, don't feel bad. They just want to make people especially in America feel "right at home" with those panel gaps and exposed screws. And yes, that's definitely style.

You must have mistaken the Stirling Moss with some other American cars. ;)

What do Americans know about high-quality interiors? Look at those American cars, save the European division :( And as far as I know, Mercedes S-Class has the highest quality of materials inside. The Audi A5 has some cheap bits of materials in its interior.. Let's hope Audi kept its high standard when making the interior for this car.

I was hoping for a revelation, but all I got is an elongated Audi A4 :( Oh well, I guess I'll have to see it in the flesh to fully appreciate it. Loving the interior, though!

U.S. Spec Production Chevrolet Cruze to Debut in Los Angeles

I've checked the car at a nearby showroom last week, and, I'm very, very surprised and impressed. The dashboard and the materials all around albeit a bit hard, have quality feels to them. Even the buttons have this "satisfying" feeling to the touch. The steering wheel reminds me of Insignia's. Very good effort from (Korean) Chevrolet. The engine needs to be less lethargic, though.
Jaguar XJ Quietly Joins the Frankfurt Circus

This "looking like a cheap Chinese car" nonsense is getting irritating, to be honest. Is it because that the XJ always looks old-fashioned, it has to stay the same way, forever? Jaguar, to me, has always been fashioned in a 'safe' manner, always behind the curtain, unlike its competitors and being criticised for that. Now that they broke out from the mold, people are still complaining that it doesn't look Jaguar enough. This is a turning point, don't be afraid of changes. I do think this car is stylish when compared to conservatively styled, albeit high-tech, luxury saloons such as the S-Class and 7-Series. The only prettier luxury saloon that I can think of than the XJ is the Maserati Quattroporte (exterior wise). The Jaguar XF has proven it's a winner, stealing the crown that has been long held by BMW 5-Series. I actually can't wait to see whether this XJ could hold a candle against the king of luxury saloon, the S-Class.

Is it just me, or is it that this car really, REALLY looks nice in black?
