Nissan envisions a world powered by petrol [video]
May 31, 2011
Which is better? It's better to have an alternative to gasoline/diesel. And I'm pretty sure that the electric based technology will advance very fast. As long as we have the Sun or the Earth's underground heat there will be unlimited ways to produce electric energy. Compare today gasoline/diesel engines with the XIXth century coal engines and you will probably succeed a little bit to see how the electric future will look like. And this future is closer than you think. Just ask yourself: why oil companies invest today in electric energy?
Chevy Volt to be sold alongside the Opel / Vauxhall Ampera in Europe
March 7, 2011
Volt and Ampera are beautiful cars. What other qualities they have? IMO, none. Why should I pay that huge amount of money for this "electric" car (?!), when I may choose a hybrid with a longer range in electric mode or even a cheaper and low consumption diesel? Or, for the same money, a premium diesel car? Therefore, I think Volt and Ampera are nothing else but marketing tools.
Ford to show Kuga/Escape replacing concept at NAIAS - report
December 9, 2010
If this thing looks like a Hyundai or Kia is because the Koreans copied a little bit from Ford's kinetic design. IMO Kuga is one of the best looking compact SUVs, so I don't understand why they want to replace it so soon.
Chevrolet Volt gets 60 MPG EPA rating
November 25, 2010
It's obvious that Volt is a step forward and a good looking car. However, I will always prefer an European diesel instead of Volt. For the same money one can buy a premium car.

Audi A7 Sportback S-Line: First photos, details surface
July 29, 2010
Premimum car segment is clearly dominated by the three german brands. So Lexus is out of this game. Seems that BMW will be again the winner of this year. After 6 months it has 29,000 cars sold more then MB. As far as the second place is concerned, it is difficult to say who will get it. MB sold only 1,750 cars more than Audi in the first half of the year, due to an unexpected increase of their sales in the month of June. Anyway, as far as target customers are concerned, there is a direct competition between BMW and Audi, while MB has to a certain extent a different target buyer. I would say a more conservative one.

Not yet. They have to become no. 1 first :)
Seat had difficulties being profitable since the very beginning (when they were taken over by VW).
New 2012 VW Polo / Vento sedan sketches surface
May 4, 2010
The new Vento (Polo sedan) will have comparable wheelbase and width with the old one (Golf sedan), but also an increased height. Instead, as far as length is concerned, the new one will be not more than 10 cm shorter than the old one. So it will be a small difference between them. Instead, current Jetta is 17 cm longer than the old Vento.
BMW overtakes Toyota as most valuable car brand

BMW overtakes Toyota as most valuable car brand
April 29, 2010
It is obvious that Audi has improved its market share for the last couple of years. In the first quarter 2010, Audi overcome Mercedes with 15,600 units, while it narrowed the gap from BMW to only 1,709 units (0,65% of its sales). So who will be the 2010 winner is hard to say right now. IMO not Mercedes, forced by the economic recession to sign agreements with Renault and Nissan. Lexus and Infiniti are not likely to come close to the german premium brands as far as global sales are concerned (especially now when a Lexus SUV production was halted due to rollover problems). IMO, the main winner of the crisis is Audi. At least until now. But no one could say what will happen in the future.
