Formula 1 coverage to end
January 9, 2011
As for many others, this is the only place were I check F1 related stuff. Perhaps sometimes you post a bit too much stories from the soap opera side of F1, but you're pretty good at covering also the actually interesting staff going on there. Rarely posted comments (except for my "that is the claim of..." war), but I daily check WCF. Now, if WCF was to be only about production cars, there are many other websites and blogs much bigger than this, so I believe that the F1 coverage was one of the peculiarities of this place, and loosing it is a very bad decision, as whatever you're going to write about production cars, I've probably already read it or could read it on other websites. I'll probably still check daily WCF on a daily basis, but I wouldn't be suprised if I was to drop it from my list. The galleries are already painful to go trough when you want to save all the images, so if I was in your shoes I'd definitely reconsider this decision. Really.

CLARIFICATION: Autosport editor says Fernandes' Lotus effort 'cynical'
December 13, 2010
it was "the real Lotus" allowing them use that name, and a year later is pretty obvious why they did it and why they ended the relationship early this years. Of course Lotus Racing grabbed more attention because of the name, but on the other hand Lotus Group is just playing the David VS Goliath game, and it's stupidly childish. No wonder Lotus Group is hiring so many people from Ferrari, which knows a thing or two about arrogance. Buying into Lotus Racing and spending the same money they used to buy into Genii would have gave Lotus Group a better image. At the same time, more people than what I'd have imagine is on ex-Lotus Racing side, but it's not really a big surprise.

Why don't you write "that is the claim of" directly into the article's title?! I know this is an uphill battle, but I'm here to see the demise of those words, for good! Read them far too many times.

Who's the genius that keeps on asking questions to Lauda? Stop writing his thoughts, this was not a tabloid last time I checked :)
Ferrari escapes penalty, FIA to review team order ban
September 8, 2010
Can't see how team orders could do for less exiting races. As if Massa or Alonso could fight each other, as if Button being asked to slow down for fuel reasons in Turkey wasn't a team order right after a huge and dangerous crash just happened between the Redbulls for lack of team orders. Please not that accidents are not part of an "exiting" race. I'm not surprised as well, a further penalty would have put Ferrari out of the fight for the title, which is a bad move for as regards the interest of the sports and the followers, something the FIA seems to care more than everything else. Personally I couldn't see any problem with team orders in first place, Ferrari just applied them the worst way possible, but that doesn't mean others don't use them. Come on, as if that can be remotedly possible. There was a time when drivers had to handle their cars to the main driver for the sake of it. Lauda himself should consider keeping his mouth shouted when criticizing things he took advantage of when he was a driver.
