Hyundai supercar under development - report
July 11, 2011
Not so long ago...I would have said no. Now...? Why not? Hyundai's proven they can build quility cars, even luxury cars that can compete with the best. If it can match a 911 for soul and a GT-R for performance, while retaining the Hyundai reliability...then absolutely I'd get one. Hyundai definitely doesn't suck anymore, and they've proven they're serious about offering exciting products.

Not much visible but the slope of the nose reminds me of a Smart for4 and the rest of it of the B-class.
Maybach gets a day of reckoning on July 1st
June 13, 2011
It was the design that made it flop. You need only look at Rolls-Royce and Bentley to see what the uber-rich want. They're a conservative lot. The Maybach was way too "out there" for the market it competed in. As technically good as it was, in this category, it's more about image and less about how good the car is...and Image starts with how the car looks. If they do replace it, they need to work on the styling and interior design. Luxury alone doesn't cut it any more that technical perfection does.
Audi S6 and S7 will have diesel variants - report
May 16, 2011
No. The point of the S6/7 is power and performance. 257kW? That's power. It'll translate into performance. And if you've ever driven a high-powered diesel car, you'll know that the sheer amount of torque these diesels make, combined with the power makes for an unmatched 'shove in the back'. It's utterly relentless. Don't knock it till you've tried it, buddy.

It needs to be more than just good or "on par". Comment added because this damn thing won't let me edit. *edit* NOW it shows up as edited, after I post this. :P Typical.

Fail. There's too much copycat in there. Hyundai copied the wrong Merc for this thing. The W140 is ages dead and was never that good looking. And those E-class rear arches are even worse. The interior lacks even the notion of style and individuality. If they want to succeed, the car should have a distinct style inside and out, as well as be recognisable instantly as that brand. That's why Merc and BMW succeed. This is likely not a bad car...but then...every car in this class is. It needs to be more than just good or "on par". It needs to have personality and style too.
South African Joule EV Production Version Teased for Geneva Debut

Most of you miss the point. Convincing people that electric vehicles are the way to go isn't going to depend on desirability, but on everyday practicality and affordability. The biggest slice of the car market is always going to be parctical, affordable, reliable cars. Up to this point...that's exactly what electric cars were not, and that's why cars like the Tesla exist at all. This car can seat five, and take them to the next city over. That's more than you can say for your run of the mill electric cars. The Tesla can do that too...but not at that price. The cars looks like a minivan because that's exactly what it is. This is one of the first all-electric cars i've seen that could actually be viable outside of Europe.
