SEAT Leon Cupra by JE Design Actually there is no need for the Cupra 'to become an rs'. The Cupra has an independent rear suspension too and furthermore it can be fitted with the DSG dual clutch automatic gearbox; what about the rs' equivalent technologies? Concerning the road performance issue, this car is mainly the same with the Leon racing car that won the last year's WTCC championship for both drivers' as well for manufacturers' categories over other competitors like the BMW 3 series, thus no need to prove anything. After all the Focus' design is at least boring I could say, while the Cupra has got an excellent look still influencing newcomers in the segment like the upcoming Vauxhall/Opel Astra. It should be the rs that should want to be a Cupra!
