"making it a toy for the green racer."
lmao, there is more environmental damage in replacing the tyres of a race car then there is out of the exhaust pipes.

btw, the scientists in your sources of information would lose their job if they didn't produce reports that suit the agenda of their sponsoring party.

Why would you say that? Because your sources support your opinion? Want a ton more sources that say otherwise?

You might also want to view this link. Be careful though, it might make you feel stupid. If it doesn't you'll either be defensive or dismissive of the facts.

Also, you have made a logic error, correlation does not equal causation. In which case, if you could provide substantive proof that I'm wrong and in fact the weather is getting worse... you still couldn't link the weather to the amounts of CO2 in the air. I'll give you an example of how flawed this error is.

lol, I seriously can't take you serious! haha
First, glaciers have been melting for far longer then we've been burning, picture entire mountain ranges covered in Ice.
Second the expensive sensors we do have have measured the smallest of decreases in temperature globally. Which is why ecocentrics no longer refer to it as global warming, they chose to use the phrase "climate change"
As to the extreme weather change, I haven't noticed anything big, we've always had hurricanes, floods, droughts, etc. if anything, the 20th century has been one of the least dramatic centuries on record as far as weather is concerned.

"how exactly does increased fuel efficiency increase the cost of ownership??"
By increasing the cost to buy the vehicle in the first place. It takes hundreds of thousands of miles to get back the cost investment. At which time most of the original owners have already sold the vehicle.
In regards to trees, all I said was that they were carbon neutral, every last bit of carbon they soak up eventually gets put into the air anyway. It doesn't matter if it happens over night or over several years.
Now, to the carbon dioxide debate. We've severely "damaged" our forests worldwide and increased CO2 to the highest point that we have ever measured yes. But what you see in your "BIG PICTURE" is not what I see. You somehow see that the world is ending and suffering. I see that we've burned our way through half of our oil reserves and we still have to use expensive sensors to be able to tell the difference. If you double the amount of damage we have done to our environment by burning the other half of our oil reserves you still wouldn't be able to notice it without expensive sensors. Thanks to people like you, this has been blown way out of proportion. lol I mean heck it's not like the Carbon Dioxide is alien to our planet, even fossil fuel carbon was once in the air a long time ago.

Trees are carbon neutral, cutting them down or planting more of them won't change anything. Picture this, a tree spends it's entire life sucking up carbon dioxide, then when it dies it rots and releases it all back into the atmosphere. Forests are more akin to storage tanks then they are methods to reduce the amount of Carbon in the world...
So sorry, still is carbon neutral.

Rather then shouting false, why don't you tell me why we can't flood 0.42% of our land (the barren waste portion) and farm our own oil from algae? Currently it's still cheaper to pull it from the ground, but when that gets more expensive to extract... it'll be a viable alternative.

Burning crap?
Excuse me, but bio fuels are carbon neutral thank you. They have absolutely zero global effect on the environment.
