First Image of All-New 2009 Acura TL Released
July 11, 2008
hmm the front of this acura is quite a decent improvement from the old TL...however the headlights remain nearly identical to the old. Not that its a bad design or anything...a bit more innovation and creativity would polish up the look of this TL a bit more. The back is still yet to be seen, though at first sight, it appears to leave an impression of a Lexus GS350. The slope of the C pillar which follows through to the back end, promotes a coupe-esque flow to the car. The muscular stance shows hints of the Acura TSX/ Honda Accord Euro.......

Hyundai Genesis Coupe Revealed in NY
March 20, 2008
We are ready for take-off..."Houston we have a problem" ...wats that?? The buttons and switches just fell apart before i got to touch them!!
So here we go, Hyundai taking risks and climbing the ladder in a new direction. I have to say that the Genesis is a HUGE improvment from its predecessor, the Tiburon. The design has flair, is very attractive at certain angles and looks like a freshly baked scone.
But how does it taste on the inside?? BORING and CHEAP! The 3 tone interior (black, red and plasticy looking silver), makes my scone look plain, tasteless and dare i say, unimaginative. Not impressed with the inside...but lets analyse the exterior again. Surely it has made a bold and beautiful statement, but at times the unusual sharpness and uncannily sculpted curves generate an unresolved front end. The rear is appealing with simplicity and suaveness but it looks heavily borrowed from designers at BMW and Infiniti. The built in boot lip and humped-up end is 6 series, while the tail lights and rear bumper is near 100% G37. Dodgy dip behind the B-pillar and a double sided groove on the side projects the image of flimsy sheet metal and once again unresolved styling.
An applaud for Hyundai, as this Genesis looks great on the outside but the interior begs to differ.
Too much self-raising flour for the scone.
Kia KOUP Concept Unveiled in New York
March 20, 2008
Ok, this is the new Kia KOUP and from my first impression, it has an attractive, sporty design (both front and rear), as in its a decent effort from Kia, but even a blindfolded 6 yr old would tell you that way too many styling cues have been "inspired" from various Ford designs. From head to toe in a nutshell, the front grille is near-identical to the Ford Mondeo, front headlights have Ford Focus ZETEC written all over it, and its backside and C-pillar give the Mustang a new twin. Pinching desings from others isnt always a bad thing, especially when you can use them as a starting point in what has been Kia's design nitemares of the 21st century. Those old models were aweful! Besides, the side looks kinda cool with a modern kick... Interior-wise, slightly overdone, too plasticy and the steering wheel looks plain bodge. Then again, this is a pretty good improvement from the existing Kia interiors which were sloppy in every aspect of design. Wrapping it briefly...Decent looking car, huge improvements from current Kia's, Ford has new brothers, and it would be great seeing Kia head in this direction but minus the obvious. For every pinch, you get half a punch.
