It's nice to finally see the new design go live, but I hate to say that it already looks dated...

this is NOT the m-package but rather the upcoming performance package.
it's clearly visible that the front bumper looks different than the one from the m-package and the stripes are a typical bmw performance extra.
they'll probably show the 1-series with performance package at the IAA in frankfurt.

I love it! And I really do see a point here. There's quite a big demand for those urban cruisers. A lot of people prefer to sit a bit higher and this thing is still much smaller than those hidious normal SUVs like the X5 or the Q7. I would definitly drive one!

@Emrys_Myrddin: Nope, you're wrong! A standard scirocco comes with 17". The R comes with 18" and is also available with 19" as an optional extra (they look like the 18" just bigger). That's what my german price list says ;)
